Question about the Paragon/Renegade percentage boost does (ME2)

Just wondering how the class powers (like Tech Mastery for Engineers) work when it comes to the Paragon/Renegade point boost. It says a 100% boost, but does that mean it is recalculated every time I get more or is it just 100% extra at the time of the boost?

Trying to make my question easier to get:
I've got five points. I get the 100% boost, raising me to ten points. If I get two more points, will that be four points because of the boost or will it just be two points?
