I imagine the reaper levels will have lots of husk swarms and whatnot. Adepts CC and biotic explosions might be really useful on those levels.

My first playthrough of ME3 will likely be Soldier, all following ones will likely be Sentinel.

Did you max throw for final damage evolution and cd reset on detonation? Do you have Liara spammin stasis?

I don't see how a 1 sec cd nuke that CCs with aoe splash damage, constant aoe explosions, and great CC can be that bad.

^This guy knows how to use an adept. I've been doing this for a good while.:wizard:

Didn't read the thread, but did you play multiplayer? The single player is a really bad indicator of the adepts potential since the cooldowns are too much. The multiplayer on the other hand lets you really see how the skills work together. The adept is just too damn good, being able to take anything on with biotic explosions in multiplayer on gold.

I not only played MP, but I am N7 120 and have completed Gold with all classes and soloed silver with most.

MP is completely different. In MP Asari adept is the best so far yes, I have already pointed that out. But biotics in MP suck too, it is only the asari adept that is awesome, followed by Salarian infiltrator, and maybe human vanguard. Human Adept sucks in comparison, and MP soldier sucks even more.

I actually played a human most of the time, and I still had one of the best scores in every single match, reason being the speed at killing things without even shooting a bullet. Enemy without shields? Singularity + Warp. Enemy with shields? Warp + Shockwave. Both produce biotic explosions capable of killing/stripping shields. I fire off maybe 5 bullets a round, only to finish off enemies still left.

I feel like the biotic in ME3 is finally up to what ME1 was, ability to combo together really well, kill basically almost instantly, and a true caster class. ME2 you HAD to use your weapons to take down someone with shields, while in ME3 you really don't need it at all.

That's fantastically disgusting. I need to try this out.

I spam throw as an Asari adept, but it is only effective against assault troopers. Warp/Throw, Stasis/Throw combo is a whole different talk.

Why do I have to pull out my own quotes instead of you reading it? lol

Where have I said that throw is bad?

But this is MP again.

Also soldier has CC - Frag grenade.

Also if you are relaying on your squad to determine your power that is a different talk. I can shoot people that Liara has stasised with no problem. Same crap as with biotic detonation.

It's all down to opinion for me it's
Soldier > Infiltrator > Vanguard > Adept > Engineer > Sentinel
but some people could easily flip my table exactly.

I play on Insanity and play what I find the most fun, Adept is bar none my favourite. I played Vanguard in ME1/2 and dead set on switching to Adept, it's hilariously fun.

Not really opinion. I am saying that Soldier kills things faster.

I have just written math on the last page how SP Soldier has 3-4x more DPS than the MP one.

If it was up to ME1 biotics, you would lift 2 phantoms with an atlas. And warp them to death.

Depends. It is still fun, but your biotic is inferior to soldier in DPS and killing effiecency.

May because you don't read what people say who prove you wrong. Also, in the sp demo you had too because you can adjust your cooldown times.(It based on weapon load out and you can't fix that in the sp demo.)
In the full game you can a just it to super fast times....You won't have to relay on yourteam mates for combo's.

Yor comparing single targetdps to Aoe.....That comparison does not work. Especially if you cut out the the biotc bomb bonuses and the types of enemies you face.

Ok third time. Does this look like a normal SP demo to you?

No it doesn't? Well the cooldown were also fast, and the adept was able to spam combos ignoring the fact that more weapons were equiped, cooldowns were still fast like in MP with only 1 pistol +200%.

Soldier still is stronger.

Soldier has the frag grenade for AoE.

Soldier also has so much firepower, that I gun 3 people down faster than a biotic explosion does.

But question... why does DPS matter so much?
If we still had ME1 biotics, biotics made it way too easy. Everyone knows it...
At the end of the day, you make it seem like the biotics in ME3 is dumbed down even more so then ME2, which is ridiculous. It's very fun, requires strategy, and prevents you spamming and instakilling enemies.

Besides, the soldier was always the most OP class. They can slow down time, they can carry a crap load of guns, they can increase their damage... but who gives a damn. Like really, I want to play a caster who manipulates the field. Thats the adept. You clearly liked the same thing before, and now you don't? So then don't play the adept, but that doesnt mean it isnt still a viable class for insanity and what not.

As "outraged" as some Sentinel players tend to be, I will stick with that class because I still feel it can be effective; it just comes down to the play-style.

I watched a yt video with a Fem Sentinel and she was rolling - in MP - but she still may be able to in SP. However, her dialing it back, won't make her any less effective. Given the way the game AI is set-up, it may be best to dial it back now and again. (Note: =/= sitting in cover all day necessarily)

1 aoe.....1 aoe does not compare to 14 combo aoe attacks and 5 standard aoe attacks.
And no you not understanding. 3 is expected for a soldier to kill in seconds.....mutliple squads arn't.That what biotic do best.

I don't know what to say. Adepts are still really fun to use...In SP, it's more about the fun than how quickly you can kill with a certain class (like trigger spamming the Mattock in Adrenaline Rush).

wait wait...is TC talking about single player or MP. If cooldown for a adept carrying only a pistol is equal to or less than it was in ME2 with upgrades and skill maxed......THEN NO WAY AM I SWITCHING!!! the cool down rate in ME2 was INSANE!! WHEEL UP....BOOM BIOTIC POWER....LET GO OF WHEEL...BIOTIC POWER OUT......BRING UP WHEEL....COOL DOWN COMPLETE!!!

in MP in the ME3,,i was able to throw a power out every 1-2 second... as for asari adept...the only one that felt like it took forever to throw out was when it was dealing with stasis...cuz that cool down is just shy of 2sec...while everything else is closer to 1 second..and you hope you hit that 30% no cooldown so you slap a warp or throw and get the quick cooldown to throw out another stasis.....BUT THAT AINT A PROBLEM.

so I WILL PLAY AN ADEPT....SP and MP

Again, you comparing aoe attacks to single target dps.  I'm just saying they work different. Meaning conditional.

I have no idea where you can find more than 3 people cramped up together. Really, that could happen once in a lifetime maybe.
