That isn't the kind of thing they do. If they confirm/deny, that will open the next can of worms and complaints. It's smarter for them to just wait and deal with things after the game is out.
For those who really want to know specifics about ME3, and possible endings, there is more info out there on the game every day. You just need to look in the right places.
Currently, I'm optimistic.

Lol I've SEEN enough of the ending to know it's bullsh*t. And the bottom line is there is basically one ending.

I have no problem with an ending that does not have sunshine and rainbows in it. Long as the game is good I will not mind. I didn't suddenly hate KoTOR 2 because the end was utter crap, and I doubt I will suddenly hate all of Mass Effect because the end of the third one is less than stellar.

Why respond to a leak where the only explanation that you all will be satisfied with is the same one you will get when the game launches? They are only closing the multiple threads. They left us the large one and a couple of the auxiliary discussions that are different enough to allowed to stay up.
Seriously, did everyone's mind stay behind with the Collector Base past the Omega 4 Relay? I'm not pleased with what I've heard and seen, but c'mon now...

Remember though, that they had the option to skirt the issue for speaking on the development end of things without details.
However, with this, a) we know what we are receiving is the real deal, just not the entire picture and
this is way too specific where EA would allow any type of PR damage control even be attempted directly at this.

It was cool in a geeky way, but not only was it a bit out of the blue, but it was also poorly handled afterwards. Sure, if you're lucky, you get some dialogue from Legion that clears some of it up, and I'm sure they will touch on it in ME3, but it was the execution that was off more so than the uber-terminator design.
