On top of that, how would they release information without it being intercepted by the aforementioned people? Stating it in a public forum would cause it go everywhere; and if they released the information themselves, that allows all media to copy/paste.
So, unfortunately, their silence basically condemns it to be true, even if there really are alternates to the entire ordeal.

the game hasn't even been released yet, of course they're not going to confirm how it ends.
the locks are totally justified and people need to stop whining until they actually play it. give your opinion on what you've heard, sure, but save your petulant crying for when you've experienced it yourself.

They don't need to stop "whining" if the endings are true.

and they won't know until they play the game, which they haven't. hence "wait until you've experienced yourself." that aside, reading about it and actually seeing it for yourself are two very different things. people can be disappointed with what they've read, but I haven't seen this amount of incessant crying on a forum in a long time. if it was post-release and the endings were really as bad as everyone seems to think, based on a bunch of text they read, it'd be all good. but all of "this" is unnecessary. i can guarantee a large amount of people that are skeptical right now will change their minds after actually experiencing it themselves.DifferentD17 wrote...

There is video proof. So... yeah there isn't information convincing me the leak isn't real.

like i said, experiencing it and reading about it/seeing snippets of it are very different things. just playing it yourself and seeing it all happen in front of you could change your mind about it. that's why i find a lot of this complaining unnecessary. at least wait until you play it. give it a chance. if you still don't like it? come here and create all of the negative threads you want.DifferentD17 wrote...

The problem is that you can only play it if you've bought it, and for some people, the endings are the deal breaker. I'm pretty sure you can't return a game you've completed just because you despise the ending. The better thing for people to do would be to not buy the game until it's been 100% confirmed that these leaked endings are, in fact, real.

fair enough. i personally find that quite narrow-minded, though. it's like saying you hate a food you've never tried. reading about it =/= experiencing it. but if people are genuinely like that, that's their prerogative.TS2Aggie wrote...

Some people are good at knowing what they like and want, others are not. I am very good at it. There is no possible way they could frame these endings that would make the normandy crash acceptable to me. I will not be satisfied. I will be depressed about all the time wasted and how slighted the characters were.
But I'll still buy it. I'll still play it, once. So I lose.

To what? If you are expecting an official comment on the story ending, on a game that is not yet released, there isn't a single chance in hell that that will happen.
Sorry.
It's only 6 more days. Or 5, if you are going to a midnight release.
LOL and hell they won't even respond on whether their Origin DRM server will even allow you to play the game if you do show up on the east coast for a midnight release. No chance they will respond to any story tidbits.

then that's simply acting like a stubborn child and bioware should feel no loss were you not to buy the game. you can't always get what you want and being that resistant is just childish. "no matter what else happens, if the normandy crashes, i don't like it"? really? the ending was the only reason you ever played the mass effect series then? it wasn't, you know, the actual playing of the game or anything?WizenSlinky0 wrote...
