I was expecting Banshees to be ultra nasty. The Reaper version of Phantoms.

Reapers also have a version of an Atlas called the Maurader (I  think). Unlike an Atlas it is melee based but also unlike an Atlas it moves faster and is much more aggressive.

Cerberus has Phantom spam on Gold
Husks has Banshee spam on Gold
???? has ????? spam on Gold

I expect each faction to have that nightmare "unit" where just one is enough to wreck your squad.


Geth Primes Cloak and can summon Turrets AND Drones. They also have dangerous normal troops in the form of Rocket troops and Flamethrower troops.

We have anti geth agents called Quarian Infiltrators with Sabotage:)

Also, can someone validate the claim that Banshees cannot be stasised? I guess since they're Reaperized Asari, they may have developed an immunity, but it's a game, such there's always a clear cut strat against any enemy. Perhaps Warp is more useful against them than the Phantoms. They're pretty tall, maybe easy to hit targets? Not a lot of enemies, actually, no enemy in the mass effect universe can stand up to a cloaked widow, so we'll see.


Yep Quarian Infiltrators will be awesome versus Geth...

But.

Most of the high level Reaper stuff is immune to Sabotage:

Looks a lot like balance to me.

Geth Primes are weaker then Banshee's and Phantom's 1v1. To make up for that they spawn in larger numbers (packs of two even on Bronze) but also start spawning from Wave 1 and in EVERY wave till the end. Phantoms and Banshee's only start appearing in wave 7 onwards.

Where did you get this info? And I said anti geth as far as the quarian inlf. I wanna read about these affected/unaffected enemies and powers..


All the wave data is in the demo game files.

Basically under the AIHacking (what Sabotage is called in the game files) there is that list of enemies that are unaffected by it. No other power has it (to my knowledge haven't checked extensively) but Sabotage does.

I agree that Quarian Infiltrators will be awesome against Geth but I think it will be balanced by them being weaker versus Reapers.

Their cloak should still be effective to create some distance and it looks like a banshee is an easier headshot than a phantom. Not sure how much damage they can soak.

I doubt you'd get that many at once, even on gold. They seem like the phantoms of the husk rounds.

I stand corrected.

That's cool, but honestly all key enemies (aka phantoms) should be immune to it, or they lose the "fear" factor.

Depends if it has armour under it's shields (like Atlas and turrets do).

I suspect they will because I doubt anything else in the Geth faction waves will have armour (there are no Collossus in the Geth waves) and they will want at least one armoured target per faction.

Might change in the full game but no mention of them in the current game files.

Banshee are the top unit for reapers in MP while the geth have GethPrime. Geth seem to have more low-midlevel units than the others.
