Who among you are waiting for the time the game is released and BioWare ending supporters get to play it through to the end and see the glaring plot holes?  Who among you will be the first to take the step and say, "I/We told you so."?

Just curious as its obvious right now that even with the leaks many do not want to believe it.

For those who truly like the endings either way, good for you.  I'm glad you will enjoy ME3 without being a part of this argument.

"Ah yes, the leak endings were fake..we have dismissed these claims."

Well, if some people are able to enjoy a game with mega-plotholes, then good for them. I for one canot enjoy a borderline-ridiculous story with massive plotholes and retcons.

I would place my bet on the biggest BioWare naysayers. You know which individuals I'm talking about.

I don't need to tell anyone anything, they already know my stance on the variables and Biowares attempt to appease everyone has only angered everyone. I told people that with EA breathing down Bioware's back that Bioware wouldn't be able to handle the variables with the time, work, and respect needed to get them to work. If the leaks are true than Bioware took an even more lazy and cheap path than I had warned many fans of in the past.

They dug themselves into a hole with ME2 to try and get an illusion of choice going. Now that hole has entrenched itself and messed up ME3. There will be no closure in this game if the leaks are true.

All you can do is hope Bioware isn't that lazy and cheap to give fans the complete opposite of what they gave in ME1 and ME2.

I don't hate BioWare but these endings are terrible and make no sense whatsoever (for the most part).

dont worry OP most are still in the classic Bioware fan stage 1: Denial....
they will achieve stage 2 soon enough....and by the time that happens and the bsn explodes those of us who knew the ending before hand and were disappointed will be ready with an extra large bucket of popcorn to enjoy the show of the forums burning in nerd rage ...

Earlier, I would've have said, "Well, I'd step in and give them a what-for and told-you-so". In light of a few developer interviews today, however, I'm willing to reserve my judgements on the endings. Just because they're real hardly means they're definitively the end-all for every file. All we have to go on are a few .bink files, some data-mining from shaky sources, and nothing on the in-game cut-scenes. As for that, only two primary sources. Variables from across all three games may have played into the endings we heard about here. Or he may have only played an ME3 character. It's hearsay that he played through on an ME1/ME2 import. We still don't really know how potent choices are throughout the game, outside the Wrex/Mordin fiasco. They may change things to some extent, for the worse or better.

I'm likely being an optimist, but I'd rather have my reservations than immediately jump on the "lol, dark endings are cool" or "this stuff sucks" bandwagons. Even so, I won't invest too much hope into it. I'd rather temper myself for the worst. That said, I'll see what's going on when the sixth rolls around. If it disappoints, I simply shelf it with the rest of my game-collection.

Ironically enough the only reason I'm still picking up my copy is for MP, which is hella awesome; but with Manveer at the helm that was kinda a foregone conclusion *waves to Eidolon*

Honestly, you can't really take joy in gloating about this because in the end we all lose.

From what I gathered so far in this forum, I think I will stick exclusively to multiplayer. How can story writers possibly ever screw up so much?
Didn´t they never hear from the fan fiasco the ending of Battlestar Galactica resulted in? Didn´t they read about the great dissatisfaction amongst fans the endings of Deus Ex 2 and Deus Ex 3 caused?

I am so baffled and speechless.

If the gameplay is decent I won't care. If the game makes me run around for XX hours doing pointless crap that does not change how the game ends I won't be a happy bunny.

Planet scanning was odious in ME2 but it had a purpose that made it worthwhile. If the endings are as written collecting/raising GR in ME3 is a relatively pointless activity only there to pad out what is an extremely short RPG.

This so called leak has yet to be proven by more than a few very questionable pictures....it may simply be a troll attempt or inaccurate info that doesn't contain all the endings.

But even IF true the whole thing reeks of DLC and has been played without the From Ashes DLC which as a huge DLC could well prove essential for a better ending that is not yet known.

At any rate the best of the leaked endings isn't THAT bad except maybe for being separated from your LI but otherwise the whole crew survive as well as Shepard. Sure most civilizations suffer severe and massive losses but that's to be expected.....we're dealing with an enemy far more superior that has specialized in eradicating organic life for millions of years.

As for the "but no more FTL travel"....that's actually false....anyone remember the conduit? A Prothean made miniature mass relay....more could be discovered or even made....I can almost bet that for future ME games BioWare will fall on the "organic species made their own mass relays" card to let the player fly around the galaxy as he/she pleases.

I'm sending Ashley over to Hackett as a war asset, and will refrain from recruiting Garrus/Tali. Then, once I get a 100% completion Destroy ending, I can just chalk up Vega, Liara, Joker and EDI as "acceptable losses" when I go back to Earth.

LOL

I am expecting betrayal from Ash.....devs made it clear that if you sided with Cerberus(and that base could likely turn into valuable war assets) you will be greeted with nothing but suspicion....even by your party.

Even then it doesn't mean these are all the endings or that From Ashes/future DLC won't provide more options. As I said the whole thing reeks of DLC. Do you remember how insanely poppular was Fallout 3's DLC that fixed the ending and how well it sold? I can easily see how this is a profit game....they can easily claim they did it as fan service in response to fan feedback and not planned it ahead of time if it turns out to be future DLC.
