So what does the colony mean for dextros and gay crew members?

does that mean the dextro-aminos (tali, garrus) starve? and do steve cortez and samantha traynor have to have sex and procreate against their desires?
because all of that is super effing gross, bioware.
as a gay person, i'm honestly a little sick to my stomach thinking about the gay part.

Sexuality doesn't matter. There not enough people on the normandy as we see from the ship walkthroughs to populate anything.

I don't think the writer's thought this through.
Well to be fair they have been making the plot as they went along, they just got lazier toward the end.

Unless you pick synthesis they die. The only real alternative is some kind of rescue DLC, or the planet is a magic dual chirality planet.

And there's hardly anyone on that planet who'll let them 'adopt'.

and do steve cortez and samantha traynor have to have sex and procreate against their desires?
Really? You'd rather be at least partially responsible for the ectinction of your tribe/legacy/human race than engage in non-preferred sexual activity?

given the absurd notion of populating a colony off a crew as small as the normandy's, it seems farfetched that someone wouldn't participate because of their sexuality (and that doesn't make it less gross).Lotion Soronnar wrote...
No, they have the option to die wihout progeny. It's not like they are the alst of humanity.

unless they just rock their inner geth out and scrap the normandy to make new people
which is similarly the dumbest thing i've ever heard.

doesn't make it less gross, especially considering they just put explicitly gay characters in the game.
that whole part of the ending is inane, and it's a shame, because i like the rest of what i hear.

The leaks also make having a LI kinda lame since you're never seeing them again. Better to just hit it and quit it, at least that's what the leaked endings are giving off.

obviously our words don't carry much weight until we've played the game ourselves, but it is not at all unreasonable to expect the ending to a consistently high-quality trilogy to be equally high-quality. and conceptually? this normandy thing is weak. it gives no narrative closure and it serves no narrative purpose except for drama. from what i see in context, it doesn't even appear to make a ton of sense.
being grossed out by this likely dumb thing's ramifications is perfectly rational.

They don't have the population to support a colony and there's no guarantee they will survive the
elements, find reliable food and water, and the such. Basically, if the leaked ending is true your old squaddies will die a slow and painful death. Perhaps you wont feel so guilty if you let them die with honor and without much pain in ME1 and ME2, eh?

LOL. I have to go post these in the ME3 thread at the BGS forums! Thanks for the entertainment.

(Homosexuals find opposite sex partners 'gross'. Really? I happen to know a few and that is most certainly not the case. It's just they are not sexually attracted to them in general, that doesn't mean they can't form heterosexual relationships if need be.)
The aliens tho... Who cares? I suppose the blue one might stick around and even multiply.

As a gay person, I must say that while I do not find people of the opposite sex gross, and actually there are few I find quite attractive, I cringe at the though of having sex with a man.
Though greater good is important, too
(still think the viking way is better)
