well im ACTUALLY gay and i think it was well done, in fact most people in the same sex romance fanclub really liked that scene

Than you have an incredibly shallow view of what good dialog is.

Play Planescape: Torment then get back to me

PT wasnt even made by bioware, and this is not much better or worse than the other romance dialogue from ME1 or 2.

In fact i apreciate that bioware is giving equally ****ty dialogue for all of us, equality is a wonderfull thing :wizard:

And yeah im sure you would be PISSED if Bioeware put someone you can relate to in their games /sarcasm

I think it's hilarious that you can relate to someone JUST because they're gay.

That's as asinine as me saying I can relate to anyone who is straight jus because they share my orientation

Unless of course equality means everything is equally bad.

And BTW, you're right, Planescape wasn't made by Bioware... Which probably explains why it has good dialog...

Why hilarius? Most straight men have a hard time relating with a gay character, thats why most companies dont make them protagonists...
I dont mind that, i discovered that having someone i can relate to makes the experience much more immersive to me so i dont blame for feeling the same way...

My character in DA:O could be gay, and I had no problem relating to him because the dialog of the gay romance wasn't like "HEY I'M GAY, ARE YOU GAY?!?! DID I MENTION I'm GAY!! DID I TELL YOU HOW GAY I AM LATELY?"

DA:O gay romance compared to DA2 gay romance is like night and day.

Same with ME3

OH FFS. Everyone is all for a girl on girl romance but when it comes to 2 homosexual men its a freaking problem?

I for one am GLAAD(see what I did there?) to see a same sex option for the male sheps. I won't choose it because I don't find two men getting their grooves on appealing, but still, I won't hate on a company being progressive and giving everyone a romance option for their sexual preferences.

We've had Same sex options for the ladies for several years now. both ME1 and 2, yes Liara and the rest of the asari race is assexual but they are physically Female. Why should those who wish to have a guy on guy romance be denied while the fem sheps get all the love, both heterosexual and homosexual.

I'm all for gay romances, I encourage it in fact.

But this is the worst thing i've ever seen, ever. This has been done soooo poorly.

Its nothing like that in any Bioware game (including ME3) so i dont see what is your point. I dont want the characters sexuality to be a big issue everytime i talk to someone, no one asked for that...

I do agree with this statement.  I'm a straight female and I didn't mind playing through the male gay options in DAO.  Gave me a good chuckle.  DA2, however was terrible and I'm not a fan of how this scene was done either.  Then again, this scene does not cater to me, so I'm mostly indifferent.  I just won't do a gay male playthrough.

Imo it was a problem with the romances, with female or males both of them were extremely emo and boring, imo the problem was with the personality/story of the male LIs not the sexual orientation ( as an exemple Isabela was bisexual too and had an amazing romance arc)

Why are you clamering over your self for approval from other people?

Someone find me specific clips of Shepard saying the words "I", "Say," "What," "in", "the" and "but" and I will create a truly horrendous song to accompany this truly horrendous scene.

And the "horrendous" has absolutely nothing to do with the homosexual content.

Why is everything so dark? The lighting here makes ME2 look like a work of art.

Just because some writing is worse, that doesn't mean ME3 writting is magically better
