What's funny is that games have had gay romances since the 80s. And you guys are all like "We're Here! We're Queer! Get used to it!" 20 years after every normal person stopped caring.

Big critic here. And that wasn't that bad. I've no idea who the black guy is though. The voice acting is solid and the scene seems pretty real. But god that piano music. Bioware, must you play that damn piano music every time we are supposed to care about something? It's f*cking dreadful. Get rid of it. It's also time to up the character design in this series. They look like lego people next to the model designs in other games ( Dragons Dogma, TW2, SSF4, and yes even Skyrim).

As for for me, I'm going full on lez baby.

Shep's a terrible dancer...that's just canon for me now. If they'd had Shep dancing well, I wouldn't have been happy

Still not happy with dialogue or lighting, but glad they put it in there for people to pursue.

Well, I'm probably not going for the gay romances on my lone male Shepard, but that's because I've already established him to be a shameless, unscrupulous tail-chaser. He bagged Sha'ira, got Ashley in bed, promptly cheated on Ashley with Miranda because Miranda wasn't so much about romance as NSA sex, I'm sure Kelly was in there too considering she's feeding his fish for her...

Of course, I don't have anything against there being a gay option for a male Shepard. In fact, I've been irritated by the double standards and discrimination against gay males in ME thus far considering it's openness with other genders and orientations especially in the context of what the codex and other in-universe sources say about the acceptance of alternate genders, identities and orientations.

I also did the gay romance with Zhevran in DA:O, and I couldn't stop laughing during the sex scene(s). Mostly for the fact I was playing an ugly-ass male dwarf, coupled with the awkwardness of DAO's sex scenes altogether. If you haven't done that before (male dwarf on Zhevran action), I highly recommend it since it is hilarious.

The dialogue is cringe worthy, seems forced and misplaced. My bf would run for the hills had I tried to romance him like that. I do appreciate BioWare going through with this though. I really appreciate that there's a possible LI out there that I can actually care about on the same level heterosexual players do

I have always thought it was very apparent that Bioware did not write the same sex romances for actual homosexuals, but for heterosexuals who find it "titillating"

Nevertheless, the fact that we've graduated from having a whole bunch of same-sex options plus the one or two girl-on-girl options to having at least one option solely dedicated to male-on-male is a step forward in this regard.

And to be fair, most straight people have no bleeding idea how to write realistic homosexual romances for either gender whether they want to or not. Comes with never having actually been exposed to it.
