So can't wait for this.

Ubisoft just shut up and take my money.

Please notice the similarities.

There's a big possibility that the two have a unified origin. They are the only two groups who are aware of "the truth," of Adam and Eve, The Garden, The pieces of Eden, and they combat one another for supremacy to guide the direction of the world. I think they were once a unified group and broke into two separate factions that becamse the Templars and the Brotherhood.

The Templars exsisted before then though.
In the Abstergo Dossiers(in Revelation's multiplayer) it does mention that Templars and Assassins were once allies.

How in the Hell can the main character be a native American?

Mixed ancestry.

I do find it amusing that despite being explained in this very thread that the PC's aren't decendants of one another the myth still continues.

Ubisoft should really drive that fact home in Ass3.

The person I quoted was parroting a common conspiracy theory. Free Masons = Templars = Illuminati.  Abstergo is just a proprietary for the Templars to fund their actions. I think we'll find about their organizations and how they tie into the earth before earth.

You've got that wrong though. Ezio begins one bloodline, Altair another. So this assassin may be descended from either one or his children will cross paths. Either way Desmond has a very multicultural family tree.

Nah this dude is from a seperate third bloodline that only connects with the others when Desmond is born (that's why he's special)

Ubisoft has already explained this. I'll try to find the link.

Well we kind of always knew it would.

You know, the coordinates pointing to New York and all. So this isn't unexpected...

Desmond's bloodline had to end up in the Americas somehow. Personally I think that going with a Native American protagonist will help to place things outside of the usual Patriot-Tory dynamic and should alleviate some of the concerns about it being in America (that and the fact that Ubisoft is French).

Also, I'm taking perverse glee in the ****ings of people who wanted to play ninja in Japan or Jack the Ripper in London.

As far as weapons go, I want bows and arrows.

Crossbows are cool, but I mean legit bows and arrows.

Our new and young assassin friend has a native made bow and some arrows behind him:)

Edit: BTW it is confirmed, mani poster you can change that.

And there is an artwork our assassin is showing way(or a spot) to George Washington while he was crossing Delaware river. :)

I wonder when they're going to get rid of that outfit. Getting a little dated.

Yup i remember that, maybe we help him to get the apple.

Edit:
Well Ubisoft is offically announcing the game in March 5, 5 p.m. Cant wait to hear more details about the game.

BTW minor spoilers for those havent played Da Vinci Disappearance, we found some coordinates at the end of that DLC. 43, 39, 19, N, 75, 27, 42, W.

These coordinates are for a giant hole in Glenfield, a town near New York. Which also near to Saratoga,  where Battles of Saratoga happend. Its generally regarded as a turning point in the American War of Independence.

Hole

It smells like we will play some role in that battles.

I wonder if Valley Forge will play a role. Also I am thinking that the main character fired the shot that started the war.

To be honest I think they should have done more Europe like Victorian England(which is far more interesting than boring old America).

Highly debatable, and extremely subjective.

I've seen enough of my country. Though Dishonored is set in a time like that but with steampunk. You play as an assassian that has supernatural powers. Lead designer of Deus ex 1 is working on it and so is half life 2's Art director.

For the record I would say the same thing about my country of residence, Australia. It's the colonized countries, they have very short and uninteresting histories IMO. And most of all what makes AC great is the culture element, most of the cities and locations thus far were multicultural mixing pots. I fear this element will be lost with ACIII(especially since all the Europeans were at war with each other at that time).

Funny you should say that, seeing as how America used to be called The Melting Pot.

But once again, it's very subjective.
