I talked to a few people who have played through the game and apparently most conversations only have two options? I feel bad for everybody who liked neutrality.

That would be fine if it wasn't stated earlier that there wold be mostly, three dialogue options. That's kind of un cool

Really? I heard that the dialogue options were pretty much the same as ME2 from xiosite.

Maybe it's to make having 3 choices in the ending feel extra special.

Like I said that would be fine if it wasn't already stated, by Mc Walters, that there would usually be three options.

If that's true, that's not just "kind of uncool". It would be incredibly deceptive on Bioware's part, and possibly even could be considered bad faith, given that Chris and others explicitly said that conversation options had been cut out because of demo space limits.

I'd also imagine that if that were the case, IGN or one of the other outlets would have mentioned something about it by now, so...

Given how much trouble it'd cause EA/Bioware and the fact that noone's really creating an uproar yet, I'm not sure I'd give much creedance to the claim just yet.

It would suck even if Mac hadn't already stated it. I'm cool with the voiced protagonist, but (if true) it would drastically affect my enjoyment of ME3.

I want to know when this "there's only two dialogue options" thing became something to worry about. even the "Holy Grail of Video Games" (Mass Effect 1) has two dialogue options for certain people, even people who open up later on. People just love to whine for the sake of whining.

You don't say...

Shepard's got a few gems, especially during their sex scenes, but the writing as a whole took a blow. If you read the leak, this would not have been a surprise.

Not to mention 90% of the time, 2 of the 3 conversation options led to the exact same dialogue in ME1. And in some cases, all 3 options had Shepard saying the same thing.

Well, it's the last game in the series, Bioware is obliged to make it crap if they want to, you're all going to buy it.

Youtube videos everywhere confirm this.

They all have mass dislikes because of this very reason.

Do we have more video other than the demo and the one sex scene?

According to a vid I saw on ign yesterday you get more options in dialogue if you've made an import as opposed to if you're starting out with ME3.

To be fair, what more is their to say, Lets have sex, WOAH< where did you get that idea, nono were, uh just friends mate.  What do you want? Lets sorta have sex, lets cuddle a bit but, i don't really like you. Im not even sure me2 had more then 2 options. Im sure the game has more then 2, UNLESS they took out renegade/paragon options, oh yeah, and interrupts compeltly, or they replaced main text with para/renegade. and im sure theres going to be investigations. Point is, sometimes a yes or no is all that is needed.

Does anyone actually remember the neutral choices from 1 and 2? They were all cop outs. They were all the same as either the par or ren choice except there was not reputation change. They were the equivalent of a pass. I am all for neutral choices, but bioware has never made a game that truly had neutral choices, they simply have a pass button on gaining a reputation one way or the other. DA2 came the closest to neutral meaning something with its snark option, but even then it was essentially taking either the good or bad action every time. There has never been a third choice in mass effect.  It is an illusion.

So again I ask if there arent many neutral options how is this a bad thing, or any different than mass effect 1 or 2?

A poor excuse, especially since a new game still has a protagonist who has a history of two games even if the player hasn't played them.

Yeah exactly I totally get why there are two options for romances, there always have been. i was just restating what I was told by somebody who's supposedly played the game. He could be ****ing with me for all i know but, thats just what I've heard.

so sex scene with 2 options:

1:lets do it
2: erm no

sex scene with 3 options

1: lets do it
2: no
3: how about just a handjob, I've got a lot on my mind.

I think there are times for only 2 options and times for 3. Hopefully they have the balance right. Hopefully.

edit: to reaffirm my hopefulness
