Its funny how there's always an explanation for the game to be awesome when they cut something out.

They take holster: Nobody even used that, man!!! Do you even remember what button?

They dont fix the animations: Animations are soooo much better than ME1 and ME2, man!!! Do you even remember those animations?

They gives us less options for conversations: Conversations are going to be sooo much better in ME3, man!!!! Do you even remember what the other options were for?

Point something wrong with the game and watch the same reaction over and over again. As much as i like the games i cant close my eyes to so much ****.

This, what a joke.

When did this get into choice ? And for those that said when you had 3 dialogue options it turned out the same anyway, yeh sure the situation maybe but i can say without a doubt that most dialogue was different - i finished my 3 playthroughs from me1 2 weeks ago, 1 of them was mostly neutral - paragon/renegade is always different, neutral especially, and most of the time you always get different responses.

I guess there is a few that are same definiteley in me1, but then you cant take those and say that both games is like that based on those few, having 2 choices is worse for the trilogy no question, refer to the situation with the geno cure and geth rewrite/destroy.

Had KOTOR 2 been finished as planned it would have changed video gaming history.

As I said in the other thread, just because I don't want to be a Paragon in that conversation it does not mean I want to be a dick.

theres a TSLRCM that is pretty promising so you can actually play kotor 2 in a more *complete* version :wizard: kotor 2 is so good and very deep sadly when it came out it wasnt complete due to LUCASCRAP rush..

The 40k lines isn't all choice. Mac walters said in a recent interview that they hit that number because of the squad banter, which includes Shepard. Then you have in cutscenes auto dialogue from Shepard that goes towards that number. So just reciting 40k lines doesn't mean anything.

That's not true at all.

I think it's safe to say we'll hit the same amount of dialogue options as ME1/2.

I want to know when this "there's only two dialogue options" thing became something to worry about. even the "Holy Grail of Video Games" (Mass Effect 1) has two dialogue options for certain people, even people who open up later on. People just love to whine for the sake of whining.

That's not the annoying part; the annoying part is that half the time, when ME1 gives you three dialogue options, two of them are actually the exact same option with two different paraphrases.

Riiiiiight it was LucasArts' fault KOTOR2 was unfinished.
Just like how it was Atari's fault NWN2 was one of the buggiest games ever.
And how it was all Sega's fault for Alpha Protocol, they didn't give Bugsidian enough time, only 5 years.
And how it was Bethesda's fault New Vegas was extremely buggy that it got low review scores.

It was never the developers' fault, it's always the publisher.

well im just stating what it has been know although i do agree that they didnt delivered a patch to fix stuff not continuously but still it was lucasarts fault by rushing them to deliver the game as it was, so that being said they knew that the game was not completed. :?

I'm not implying it's all choice. I'm just saying there's a staggering amount of dialogue in the game. Far more than ME2. Which means that it's unlikely that there's half the amount of choices for dialogue as ME2. It's doubtful that 30k lines come from cutscenes and squad banter. I realize there's a lot of cutscenes and dialogue we don't physically choose. All I'm saying is people are automatically assuming choices won't be there based on a small sample size when evidence is there that there is a ton of dialogue in the game. Hence the "relax and try it yourself when it comes out".

Dialogue choices seem fine so far...

I'd still rather see Offline Multiplayer Implemented.. (split-screen co-op)...

The thing is, it doesn't seem like it would have been a big thing for Bioware to have given us a few examples of occasions when you'd get more than one choice. There must be at least some occasions when showing us a fully stocked dialogue wheel wouldn't be spoily.

And trying it out yourself costs money.

Can anyone link me to Xiosite saying that it's mostly dominated by 3 choice dialogue?

Word. This is a wait and see game. Should've pre ordered SSX. That's something EA seemed to get right.

Not to mention 90% of the time, 2 of the 3 conversation options led to the exact same dialogue in ME1. And in some cases, all 3 options had Shepard saying the same thing.

+1 to both of you. Well said.

THanks for the heads up about this.

As for the main topic of discussion, I will wait and see.  Since I will only port into ME 3 from ME 1, I should see more, if the ported chars get more options, that is.

At the end of the year when I can get a used copy for 20 maybe. It's not worth pre ordering, especially once you've read the script.

No **** its not. Why the hell would I want to play a game or read a book or watch a movie after I read the pre-final draft.

That's like eating cold hamburger and saying "Well that tasted bad cold, so it has to taste bad hot and fresh."

1) Calm down

2) Calm down some more

3) Your analogy makes no sense.

4) Check the spoiler forum, many people agree that the story is bad.

5) Good gameplay mechanics on a 3rd person shooter isn't worth pre-ordering.

Define many because most of the ACTUAL bioware fans agree that this is pretty standard fare and that the game is as awesome as be.

I don't count Haters, armchair writers and idiots to be a good judge of script.
