To everyone raging about vanguard stealing their kills, please note

Charge is not PURELY offensive.
When I charge, sometimes I do it because my freaking shields are down and there is no visible cover. So I charge. And Infiltrators cloak, it's pretty annoying too, but no one rants at infiltrators, right? Seriously, how hard is it to understand I don't charge=>kill things endangering my life because my finger is glued to 1, or because I am an awful person who needs to steal the results of your job, but because this is my freaking playstyle?
Also? Kill things faster than in half an hour
*sigh* I doubt it is going to help the situation, but, well, whatever

And Engineers should stop spamming Drone. It's not fair that they can knock people out of cover while I can't.
Human Soldiers also need to stop spamming AR. It's so mindless, all they do is push one button and shoot, and they do tons of damage, which means I can't get kills. Nerf them to take away their extra damage.
Basically, I want my team to stop doing what they're good at and helping me. It's too bad this game doesn't have single player.

Sometimes it seems they think EVERYTHING IS OUT THERE TO GET THEM.
Though seriously, the first time I went gold there was level 12 vanguard who did nothing but charge and die. I admit that's terrible too

Well, at lvl 12 (at least as a Vanguard) dying is your only purpose in a gold game.Gexora wrote...

Probably good advice, but sometimes it's just annoying how people can't realize vanguards are very strategic class (esp on higher difficulties) and assume all of us are 1-3 spamming bastardscount_4 wrote...

And yeah, when I saw that level 12 guy I was like.... you serious?
Also? Charge-Nova is truly awesome, but they just won't understand

Nah man, Sentinels are mad OP. Use Tech Armor once and get damage reduction forever? BS, that has to be a bug. They keep outliving me and getting a higher score, they need to turn Tech Armor off once in a while (but not use powers while it's off, because taking advantage of faster cooldowns is also OP).

I believe people will rage less if they know everyone get the same thing in the end.

Must admit though, it can be annoying when you miss miss a perfectly lined up shot because some ###guard is on a charge-nova-athon :-(
Hey, swings and roundabouts I suppose.

And he ****ed at me about it.
It's a class that attracts dumbasses just like the Vanguard. Unfortunately it is easier to stealth -> headshot and survive than it is to be a Vanguard, so they stick around.

And I totally understand the vanguard mechanic - they will be charging everywhere, and that sometimes they are gonna go down. I don't care. As long as they play well and we win, that's fine with me. I don't know why people get so pissy about ressing others. I get great personal satisfaction out of it. As for kill stealing, it doesn't matter, you'll get the same xp as everyone in the end. It's a TEAM game.
Probably a very rose-tinted view but hey, I'm that kind of infiltrator.

I don't think any class is "dumb-ass" there are only people who are.

I like playing infiltrator. Cloaking is
a vital ability, particularly in gold matches, and not just for zipping
in and out for damage bonuses. If someone goes down (unless I'm
fulfilling an objective), you can guarantee that I'll hit cloak and run
like hell to whoever went down to pick them up. I like being able to do
that and it's good for the team.

No, that's completely rational view of things, not to mention beneficial for the team.

And I am "the end justifies the means" kind of person in real life, btw. But everything must be balanced, not "I am halfway to extraction zone so I can't go literally two steps to the side and revive your fallen ass so all of us could get a full extraction bonus!".

Well, that's how vanguards learn eh?
"Know yourself, know your enemy and in a hundred battles you will never be defeated." That's textbook stuff. But the only way to know / learn these things (in games) is by trial and errror. Anyone who doesn't notice that their tactics are ineffective within one or two matches has a problem though - they can be annoying.

it's not the matter of kill-stealing and exp - though it would be nice if they did that - but the fact ppl won't understand I *NEED* to charge.

Most of the times people don't really care whether the charge is "needed" or just for the lulz.
To those people who think vanguard "stole" their kills, they don't really care what the vanguard needs or doesn't need. It isn't really their business. All they know is that the vanguard took some kills that were supposed to be theirs and they look bad with less points.
They view this as a competitive game, a killing contest that whoever gets the most points wins, instead of a co-op mission that everyone should work together and survive.
Even if they understand that vanguard needs to charge, they would probably still stay the same way. Because they see the vanguard as a competitor, not a friend. Other teammates are just there to help them win. They are only rezing you because alone they may not survive. But in the end the vanguard/others are still competitors, they would rather see you die than stealing their points.
One of the ways to make these people stop thinking like that is to tell them that in the end everyone gets the same reward. And the points you get in the mission isn't really that useful. People will be less hostile if they know helping others is actually helping themselves.

There was one game where two vanguard literally murdered the whole map within a minute while I was trying to find some cerberus, some people might find it annoying that they cant find anything to kill for themselves.
I said I understand that may be annoying. I get that little warm feeling every time i ****slap a phantom, i would be unhappy if i spent the whole match doing nothing. BUT
Vanguards NEED to play like that.
