I really don't mind not having a racy sex scene. or even glimpses of naked flesh. I don't particularly feel it is necessary to show loads of bumping and grinding with fictional animated characters. As long as it is implied that it happens that's ok with me.
I agree with this.

This.
I think Mass Effect 1 got it right. The sex scenes had a cinematic quality and just enough nudity that the sex scenes felt natural, without being gratuitous.

Why is it called a sex scene when there is no sex? Really.
The Witcher's sex scenes are over the top and gratuitous. The level of detail is just there as fan service and is meant to titillate cellar dwellers. As such they are as equally facepalm worthy as DA:O's scenes of characters getting it on magically through their underwear. If any game got sex scenes right it was Mass Effect 1.

Not by European standards, not even close. The scenes were in keeping with the characters of those in them.

I really liked how they handeled relationship with LI in ME2 and how they "ended" the love scenes but they were braver in ME with that...
Anyway, I wouldn't expect BW to go further that what we've seen in ME and definitly wouldnt wait for Witcher 2 type of scenes!

No, they're just over the top and gratuitous regardless of what continent you are from.
They add nothing to the story.

I want to see naked sexual actions between animated characters so much that I will tell anyone who listens how dissappointed I am.
Not trying to upset anyone or start flame wars here but c'mon seriously?

For me it's more just wanting it to be handled like it was in ME1, i had an "Awwww their so cute together" moment after it was done, in ME2 I went "Damn I hope that material is frictionless or someones going to get a nasty burn there"

How can you say they add nothing to the story when during the scene the elves (and dwarves) tell the story of the Elf and the Human who fell in love. highlighting the unlikely relationship between a witcher and a sorceress?
furthermore, shortly after the scene while in the same setting you and Triss discuss what can, if you so choose be a pivotal moment in both Geralt and Triss' lives. (Wether to leave everything you are doing behind and leave toghever)
Perhaps if you read more into the scene direction and understood the purpose behind what you are doing there and why, it would open your eyes.
It's not like its one of the most important scenes for character developement or anything. :S

Constant blood, violence, swearing, homosexuality, "renegade" decisions, torture, etc. etc. = No problem!
The side of an animated female breast = BAD! OMG END OF THE WORLD BAD! HOW DARE THEY!

Some do , but they all add to the character. The problem is your just seeing the sex.

Really? That doesn't seem fair, hell even in ME2 we got to see Miranda in a bra.
There's plenty of free porn on the internet if you are that concerned about seeing nudity.

I think you missed the point. I was saying that gays cant see a kiss but the rest of us can see a chick with her top off as she procedes to give us a rather bad friction burn. How is that fair?

Honestly as long as the relationship seems genuine, that is really what matters. Sex is a by product of an intimate relationship, not the goal.

True, I don't get why people want to see a all-open sex scene in a video game. They can watch porn for such things. In ME it isn't important part about the romance, the important part is the emotion characters feels. If Bioware manages to get it right, then they' re succeeded.

Kissing animations are notoriously hard to do in games. Devs typically avoid them. Don't ask what they were thinking during the Thane scene (it's terribly animated) but typically, kissing scenes look fake and weird.
