Is it possible for Alistair to be king without killing Lohain?

Yes, Harden him up in his personal quest. He'll still leave the party though.

So he has to be high on the "like pc" scale?

What is his personal quest, does it have something to do with that warden shield you can find in the capital?

Once you get his approval high enough he'll approach you about a sister he has in denerim. Do that quest and when it's done tell him that everyone is out for themselves. He'll toughen up after that and start acting more confident.

Wouldn't you want to see this for your self? Makes the replays all the more worthwhile.





But if you want to know. Yes loghain will still follow you and can take the blow. And yes he stays, as long as Loghain dies. However if you want to marry Anora and Alistair with each other you have to be the one to kill her father. Don't let alistair do it as she won't marry her fathers killer.
