Then don't buy the bloody game.

Likewise don't buy the bloody DLC.

It does not matter if it is "optional" what you people do affects everyone in the long term.

No it dosen't. Bethesda was the first company to invent the concept of Downloadable content.

Its been 5 years since Shivering Isles and KotN.

Every developer followed that path since then. DLC are the future. Even Heart of the Swarm is a  DLC now.

I agree, I would also pay extra for better endings then the crap we were given. We were told all the players were given the endings we would want. They just neglected over half the fan base!

How is Twilight grimdark? Do you even know what Twilight is?

From the sounds of it. The people that want a happy ending with their beloved romances want Twilight.

No people want the galaxy to burn. But Shepard to be alive and happy. Sadistic and Selfish much, yes it is.

Also something I would do in the real world if ever given the choice between the ones I care about and billions of faceless peoples.

I'd pay for DLC. I wouldn't be happy about it, but I'd do it.

And I sure as hell won't buy any DLC that doesn't give us better endings.

Sadly, I have to agree with you.

If it really all ends like this, then I won't be playing any new dlc or hell, even replaying the game. There's no point.

The destination can ruin an entire journey.

And in this case, its the entire trilogy. If what we're assuming is true, than it will really kill off any desire to replay even the first 2 games. At least imo.

I think BW isn't gonna bother with scenario DLC. Its all gonna be for multiplayer. Useless map packs and weapons to make the repetitive grinding...less grindy.

Yup. Pouring salt into the wound.

I think I'm gonna go to the bookstore and read the last few pages of a bunch of books and go flip out on a bunch of appropriate forums. Until you have a complete context on how the endings fit in with the entire story (as in ME1+ME2+ME3 and all of YOUR choices), it doesn't make any sense to complain about it. However, this is the BSN and apparently that is what we do here.

As for DLC to change the endings, that's a bit insulting to the writers. It is THEIR story, we are just playing through it. It's our prerogative to agree with or disagree with their endings. I'd be in favor of DLC that expanded the post game portion, but I haven't experienced the endings for myself to know if its even a possibility.

You're only encouraging bad behaviour, OP. Throwing more money at something doesn't always fix the issue, it just encourages rush and lazy jobs. Why put forth the effotr when you can push out something incomplete and than charge customers more for the rest in pieces?

Don't throw more money at them, honestly, if they cannot provide the ending 90% of the player base wants. Screw em & move on to another company to lavish over.

That is the issue with BSN. We think we are the 90% when in reality we are at most the .090% of all BW gamers. Just think about it for a second. JK Rowling made a series of successful books where she plotted out the end details BEFORE she finished the first book. Do you really think she polled her books fans to determine how end the story she created?? Not a chance..

I honestly don't think the OP knows what the repercussions an idea like that would have on the gaming industry. If (I say if because i'm pretty positive that BioWare isn't stupid enough to go with such an asinine idea) they were to go with it and it be successful, other companies would start to do so. Next thing you know, you're paying for games that don't have endings at all and you have to shell out extra to get them Or, even worse, you're having to pay extra to gain access to areas and/or objective in missions. It would essentially be a downward spiral. You don't believe this could happen because of that? Then you obviously don't know the basic structure of a Free-Market Economy.

Why do people keep using novels, where choice is never implied, in relation to an RPG where it has been/is?

Sadly yes I would buy a GOOD ending DLC. One that has happily ever after and no Normandy shipwreck.

Same here... I would NEVER consider this for any other game and I actually agree with what the dissenters are saying... but I, too, would buy a DLC with a happier ending. /sniffle

LOL EA please fix this ending. If Lair of the Shadow broker was a hit just cause a lot of Liara fans brought it. Than a good ending DLC will make a CRAP TONNE MORE! As majority of ALL the fandoms will unite to buy it.

Whilst I think that the spoiled endings may work for some of my Shepards, I do agree. If you offer a DLC with Shepard ending with the Normandy crew....I will buy it, as another option.

RPG's are nothing more than a "Choose Your Own Adventure" Novel with a finite number of choices and outcomes. In the grand scheme of the story it would be unrealistic to have a care bear happy ending after the universe was nearly destroyed. The fact that any civilization survived the war is a plus.

Untrue. The galaxy is going to burn regardless of your actions. Fans just wanted their Sheperd to be there to help pick up the pieces and not take the cliche and easy way out by dying.

I haven't got a problem with the endings tbh. What I do have a problem with is being told your decisions matter throughout the course of the entire series and then making all 7 outcomes pretty much the same and that makes no sense what so ever. There are so many things we could have done in the other games which would change the course of the ending but the way BIOWARE have done it is sort of like saying if you pick up a handful of stones and throw them they will all land in the same place even though at some points they were in different places in the air if you get what I mean. It just makes no sense at all and just seems like lazy writing to cause sensationalism to trick retarded people who don't understand plot progression.
