Hmm..didn't the devs say there won't be any post-game dlc? Why would they tell us to keep our save files?
if they don't resolve this, i'm guessing they'll be pushing ME4 and how 'we'll see our surviving crew" or something....

I will not pay for 'happier' endings. I will pay for better endings, as in better QUALITY, be them tragic, jubilant or otherwise.
This. Even if Shepard survives the ending and is with her crew/LI it still won't be happy ending, the whole galaxy is fubar anyways. The quality of the endings however, could be so much better.

I read it in a Joystiq
article.Maybe I'm just assuming things after I read it? (can you tell I'm desperately trying to stay optimistic?)

I guess I would too, but I'll still never buy another Bioware product after this BS.
That would be the worst case of cut-content scenario I can imagine.

I think in all the stages of grief this looks most like bargaining. What kills me is that it looks like so many of you are being so irrational about it. Being further fleeced with DLC isn't the answer.

If you went to a fine restaurant, found maggots in your food, would you pay them more money to fix the meal they'd brought you? 1 Bethesda did it
2 Bargaining does not "work" in the five stages of grief (and thus one moves past it) be because death is inevitable whereas here we are talking about a business....nuff said

1 They did it so they could sell DLC, since the ending originally made doing so impossible.
2 Taking one part of what I said out of context doesn't change what I said, it just means you're taking one part of what I said out of context and replying to it.<_<

I realize people will buy this game despite complaints, so they will have equally no issue buying DLC, regardless of what it affects. On the bright side your reaction at least demonstrates that you get how absurd this whole topic looks, even if in a skewed way.crimzontearz wrote...
you realize no one is gonna buy any single player dlc unless it affecrs the endings right

no...not at all.
The truth is that if money is involved people will listen especially EA. Why do you think Bethesda created Broken Steel? Because DLC was not possible otherwise? The Pitt And Anchorage beg to differ dude
it is possible
oh and now I am willing to pay 20 + dollars

If the endings make the replay value of the game so bad as to have people never touch it again, that will mean that DLC won't sell. So BioWare shot themselves straight in the foot here, unless they are willing to listen to fan demand.

It seems this is the general consensus, even beyond the BSN forums. The reaction to the ending on YouTube is even uglier than what we're seeing here. Word is spreading, and bad word-of-mouth is bad for sales. Just look at the drop-off that followed DA2. That's not to say they'll actually do anything about it, but one can hope.magnuskn wrote...
I am pretty sure that sales for more DLC will be pretty abysmal, if they are unwilling to respond to fan desire and give us an alternate better ending. After all, a pretty general reaction to the ending has been "What have I been playing for?" and "the endings make the journey meaningless". And variations thereof.

If all of this turns out to be wrong, I will change my sig to publicly acknowledge my idiocy and buy the game and day-one Prothean DLC without further complaint.
