So, they wrote a terribly convoluted ending to your favorite game series, ruining what should have been a great payoff after 3 games, and you want to REWARD them by giving them more money.

To state it nicely, you are a poorly informed consumer sir.

This has to be a huge troll thread, how could a gaming company bring out a product if that is the case.

I opened this thread 2 days ago in the wrong forum. Sadly things have gone from bad to worse so I feel I need to reiterate in hope that those from bioware watching this forum might pass the message along.

Criticism and debates can only go so far but the language of money is universal

I will MORE THAN GLADLY pay 10$ or more for a DLC that improves the endings for people like me who did not want their favorite serie to end on such a note. Did you listen Bioware/EA? I want to give you MORE MONEY!

I know many others have asked for this as well.

Thank you in advance

PS: some people do not like the idea, Fine, we understand you are happy with the endings as is but MANY others are not. If this DLC is not for you then simply ignore the thread.

this is why we can't have nice things

Man do I miss the days when game companies had to actually make good quality games for people to buy them. Now it is just people with such delusional brand loyalty they will purchase, and even pay more for the crap game companies put on the market.

Do you not realize that by saying things like this, BioWare realizes they can shove out utter garbage in video game form on the market and people will still buy it? Do you not realize that when you do things like that it actually hurts the video game industry, with no motivation to make quality games developers won't spend the time to make them because it is a waste of effort and funds. So it just ends in a spiral of crappy games released every single year.

You know whats going to happen to video games because of people like you? They are going to sell it in parts, just like how movies are starting to be Part 1 and Part 2, the same thing is going to happen to video games. Except its going to be through DLC, not the DLC we have today, but rather you buy a $60 game, get the first half of it, and have to pay $60 more through DLC for the rest of the game. Sounds like just your kind of thing right? People will buy it too, they will come up with excuses like "well the extra DLC is just additional content, it won't affect the main story at all" Even when it is an integral part of the story and of the game, delusional idiots will still come up with those excuses.

This, bothers me. Why do people have such blind faith in developers who obviously see you as just money. There are plenty of developers out there who don't do this type of thing that care about the consumer that just get ignored and their sales dwindle. It makes as much sense as the girl who wants to date the jerk football player even though he treats her like garbage. Is that what you are? Some pathetic little girl with a need for acceptance?

All you are doing is hurting the gaming industry, period.

don't care. Mass Effect is the only franchise I would request this for. Other games with the same issue I just don't play

I think Mass Effect is relatively unique in this respect since it's so character-driven. Nobody would pay for an alternate ending to Halo, for example. Who cares?

Having said that, it would be really lame to release a DLC like this unless it was free.

No, just no. This is how the writers meant the game to be and I will not encourage a software house to release endings after game launch for money. New squaddies? Ok, New missions? Ok. Hell, even weapons and squad uniforms are fine but an ending DLC?
Not happening.

I completely agree. With all the work, time and money people have put into the first two games, bioswear gives us the middle finger with these bs endings? Yeah, I'll pay for a "happy ending" but after that bioswear can.....&!$$ &% )!"$@*& ?\\*#.Image IPB

And writers have an obligation to their fans to not make empty promises then screw them over. If people want to pay for better endings, let them, it's their money and no one is forcing you to buy it.

I'd be quite frankly surprised if EA/Bioware doesn't release some sort of DLC that effects the ending outcome considering how much they've milked the DLCs for ME3 so far. I'm half expecting it at this point.

I would. But only grudgingly, and ONLY for Mass Effect. And Bioware can justnforget about me picking up a copy of Dragon Age after I finish Mass Effect 3(I never had DA in the first place)

I'm sure this has already been broached, but would a Broken Steel-esq dlc even be feasible if they wanted to do it? Bioware games aren't anywhere near as moddable as Bethesda games and an alternate ending would essentially require a completely redesigned final level.

This would set a horrible precedent.  There are enough shady DLC practices in the works these days, we don't need more.

So instead of punishing BioWare and not giving them money, you reward them by giving them MORE money? Man the BioWare fanboys are very delusional

I would reluctantly pay, but I would feel like I was mugged or something like that. It's just wrong, but those endings (at least what we already know about them) are just as wrong.
