And are you running it boot camped? Might need to update and re work things a bit. I'm not that great with Macs but, my granddaughter plays on one. She mentioned having to do something with boot camping to get it to work right.
No, this is the Mac version. And I'm a bleeding-edge-kind-of-person: most recent version of Mac OS, all updated, etc. That's why I blithely installed DA2 1.04.
I have a Boot Camp partition, too. Have run DA2 in it in the past (when you do that you are identically having the Wintel experience). Haven't tried 1.04 over there since I have DA:O on there now.
No, it's something screwy with the port, I suspect. And, of course, there are tons of unaddressed bugs that are still there (like the tactics N-1 I mentioned earlier). Ho hum. It more-or-less works, just uglier than before with this hollow armor stuff, and now I've found other characters with big holes in them (like the Viscount's son, but those holes might be from something else...).
Whatever. It's all part of the business model... Thanks for your advice, though!

I'm wondering if the devs couldn't fix the romance bug and this is how they dealt with it.

what is the correct installation order of the patches, dlc and hi res texture for a dragon age 2 clean install?
I doubt the order of installing the hi-res textures matters much. However, I would always suggest patching to the latest version of anything (games or any other software) first, make sure all of it is up and running correctly, and then add any extras you might want. In this case the hi-res textures and then DLC.

I would install the patches in numerical order (pretty obvious there) then the extras like Hi-Res, then DLC in whatever order you want.
Patch 1.04 is cumulative. It contains all previous patch data. I assume the same is also true for DAO patch 1.05 that was released a couple of months ago, since the previous patches no longer have download links.

You only need to d/l and install the most recent one to get everything that was included in the earlier ones.

I have 2 playthroughs (mage & rogue) so far of DAII and have went through Legacy with both of them .. one with Bethany & one with Carver. I would really like to hear the additional banter that I missed in my previous run-throughs ...
Thanks for any help.

Is there something wrong with the 1.04 download? I tried accessing the patch from http://social.biowar...age/da2-patches (http://na.llnet.biow...onAge2-1.04.exe) but it downloads only 11% and then terminates.
Anyone else having this problem? Any alternative locations to get this patch?
Thanks,
David

For the Download problem, try clearing your browser cache, resetting your connection and see if that helps.

Mmm...which folder would it be looking in?DarkAmaranth1966 wrote...
Is it installed in the directory the patch installer is looking in? If not you might need to direct it to the correct location when it asks for a folder.

As far as I know the Zevran issue is not fixed.

Thanks for the suggestions. Tried them but no difference. I can't download past 11% each time I try... any other location I can download the patch from?

Turn off your Antivirus and firewall. You may have a port blocked and/or a real time scanner interfering.
