Do you have a DX-10./10.1 video card? If so, try with the 1.05 patch.
Wait, this is a problem with DA2's  1.04 patch?  Haven't seen that before. 
Compared to DA:O, I'm seeing very little lag anywhere in the game...

I wish they'd make a patch that fixed the quests not triggering properly. Nathaniel Howe's is one.

I'm unable to install the patch for DA2's (1.04) - It just say on the log file:

Installed game validation failed at "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Electronic Arts\\Dragon Age 2\\"
Size required by installer: 71011
Patch installer aborted - game not found

The game isn't installed in the default location. What should I do?

Edit: game was bought from Origin and I'm running Windows 7 x64.

Since this patch, I've been experiencing some rather odd bugs:

1. Carver became a warden; but during the final act when he's kidnapped he was wearing templar armor. The convos were correct, just his armor was wonky. I just roleplayed that, since he was kidnapped by templars they outfitted him as such;
2. The voices keep cutting out;
3. The cut scenes keep 'skipping';
4. During second act - Repentance quest - when confronting Lady H and the demon in the basement, I get 'loading' in the lower right corner and the game stalls unless I hit escape. It does this twice during this quest;
5. Not sure if a bug or not, but after the kidnap quest in act 3, if you convince Cullen to let Samson back into the templars, I ran into him in his spot in lowtown where he's complaining about having no purpose in life. But I just gave him one!;
6. And I seem to be getting the same lag as mentioned herein.  I had a slower computer before this one, and never got the lag.  Since installing the update to my newer faster computer, I'm getting lag!

I just installed patch 1.04 and now the game gets stuck and then crashes everytime I go to the docks. can I roll back the patch?
Never mind, turned out to be Geforce 301 driver. had to roll back

I bought Dragon Age 2 Expanded Edition game is installed, checked the date, then vylaziet activation window and logging in to your account and then I go but I now issue this problem: check the connection to the Internet. If the problem persists, try to join later, maybe the servers are temporarily unavailable!

I am experiencing a dlc unauthorized message and have installed the 1.04 patch...I bought the blac emporium dlc months ago and hadn't played in awhile. Then back on bought more dlc and have playied with black emporium after logging out and logging back in but that isn't working this time and besides im sick of doing that! How can I fix this issue.. It says the patch fixed other dlc unauthorized issues...btw running a pc

Hey, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post it, but after Merrill's companion quest in Act 3 (A New Path), when my Hawke chooses the "i'll take resposiblity" option, the Dalish dont' attack and let us leave the camp, but when I later come back, with or without Merrill, they all try to kill us. I don't remember that happening in the previous patch.
Also, during the quest Best Served Cold, when meeting with Thrask and Grace on the Wounded Coast, Elain is just a floating head.

Has anyone reported the problem with the Faith quest since patch 1.04 and is it fixed with patch 1.05? I am afraid to download any more patches.
