Shep: "I dunno. Marriage, old age, and a lot of little blue children?"

Bioware: "LOLNOPE!"

Seriously, I know this thread contributes nothing but I just loved that line, that idea that somewhere in the multiverse there's my Shep and Liara living happily for the rest of Shep's life.

I guess subscribing to the multiverse theory there's also a Mass Effect with an ending I'd enjoy watching and one where Shepard is just a massive Goldfish... Goddamnit Bioware.

I don't know why they would get our hopes up for having a future with our LIs with dialogue like that if they went and made it impossible. I just can't accept they would do that, they know that is what a lot of fans wanted.

Just one ending with my LI and shepard's friends. Just one. The rest of the galaxy could burn in the corpses of the reapers, i don't care. Just give me the ending where Shepard finally gets happiness.

Right? I think I may just pretend that the series ended after LotSB and that the Reapers spent the next 100k years travelling out from darkspace, by which point all the species of the universe basically just broke them like twigs. It's better imo.

I'll join you on that one. Everyone getting a gold medal and everything being perfect would've been preferable to these abominations of endings.

AGREED! Let the universe burn, hell I'd supply the matches. Just give me that one ending.

Apparently, romanced Garrus has a line saying he wants to "retire somewhere warm and tropical" with Shepard. The writers clearly hate us.

I have a feeling what people are saying is correct. But I think the full game experience should rectify some of our concerns.

Well that planet where he and Tali slowly starve to death is apparently warm and tropical...

What if we find ourselves alone again, is there nothing left to say? What if we never find our bro again, is there nothing left to say?

New lines to Miracle of Sound's Normandy anyone?

It's really Liara's fault...she's the one that gets stranded on that damn planet.

Yeah that conversation makes the endings even worse. For some reason the developers decided not to give us the choice to keep that promise. Who knows they may do an ending dlc like what divinity 2 and fallout 3 did. The sad fact is I would pay for it as well. :(

Yeah, did he forget something on Pluto that he needed to jet over near the relay SO FAR AWAY FROM THE ACTUAL BATTLE?!!

Liara not only gets the most romance content but the most character content to the point where she is forced into the role of 'most important person in the universe', she gets a whole DLC and comic book series dedicated to her and she's a companion again despite it not making any real sense.

And still the Liara fans are complaining that it's not enough? ****!

Except she is force-marooned. The others can be war assets, though it seems they actually still get teleported to the Normandy before it goes down... somehow.

I want the option for everyone, not just Liara fans, I just couldn't think of any comparable lines because I've only done Liara/Jack romances.

I still don't get how EVERYBODY ends up on the Normandy? Surely the ending sequence isn't just Shep on his own while the rest sit around? In ME2 you had two squad members at the very end battle and the rest were holding the line. It would be bad characterisation if all the squad was fine with letting Shep go off alone!

Teleportation, apparently. Not literally. Space magic, I guess.

According to Xio.
