You must have a pretty s*** job to consider time off just to play a video game. Or custom days off. I get every weekend off so I got no real choice (but free weekends rule so). Still gonna play launch day though.
You crazy? My job is awesome! Just because someone makes an event of a game launch does not mean they do not like their job, nor does it devalue what they do. I get weekends off as well, so I asked for the 6th through 9th off, which gives me Tuesday through Sunday to play away.
That whiff of condescension and elitism is uncalled for. We are all Shep's here, act like it.

I may have failed to mention that my papers are about finished.

I'm ready to start work for someone in April. I have to admit, it wasn't anything like the main reason I decided to close it down when I did. But, the fact I would have several weeks basically clear to play ME3 was a factor.

It devalues their attitude toward employment when such a state is hard sought after by many. Maybe your specific situation is different in that you either have great leniency from the guy in charge or vacation days to blow or whatever, but there's far too many people that simply are lazy and try to justify it in some other fashion. I can sympathize with those with s*** jobs, I used to have one years ago. But even that wasn't easy to come by, so taking it for granted to play a game is, imo, petty.Ralael Xenoscill wrote...

She saw ME2 and didn't like it. She's not a scifi girl. But she'll be sure to ask me to explain everything that's happening while I'm putting it together. Lol
Hopefully she realizes you're saving the damn galaxy! That's serious business! If you don't save it, then who will? WHO? There's zero time to talk about wife topics!
Heh.
To quote FroZone from The Incredibles: IT'S FOR THE GREATER GOOD!

I think we have next year's Oscar winner!
LOL.
I'll speak for myself: I have PTO. I accrue it every month. I can use it however I wish.

Also I already told my friends not to contact me, since I'm not at home - I'm off saving the galaxy.

We got the shot, sir. A very touching moment indeed.
*takes a moment to blink away the tears*
We don't need a moralizing discourse in here. No need to sniff about the unemployment rate. This is supposed to be a joyous occasion. It's not a sensitivity seminar.
If you just took time off for whatever reason to play ME3 and want to shout it to the rooftops, this thread is for you!

Oh get off your high horse. It's not some great honor to to get up and go to work every morning. Our employers aren't doing us the favor by giving us jobs, we're the ones doing the favor by working for them. If anything they're the ones who should be greatful and we shouldn't feel so beholden as to never lie to take time off.

Dammit I'm jealous of all you people who don't have jobs. I want to be funemployed but I can't afford it yet.
I think most of us have jobs where benefits include paid time off that can be taken for any reason we see fit.
