But demo wise? You don't import your Shepard. Unless you have your face code some where nearby and enter it in and then...wuhlah you have your face. Full game wise? Um.. Faces's will still work in import/facecode. There faces will just look different cause Sheps have a new texture now.
But if your going to try to put your Shepards face in the demo, and if you didn't write down the sliders, taking pictures of your Shepards sliders is a good way until full game.
ANNNNND if you don't have a facecode or a camera, well I suggest looking at your Me2/1 character and doing it the best you can from memory.

I don't have a facecode because I imported my Shepard from ME1. I'm not trying to 'import' it to the demo. I had heard that the full game of ME3 would not let you import a face if you didn't have an ME2 facecode. Please confirm/deny.FallTooDovahkiin wrote...

Full game , yes you can import your character even if it didn't show the facecode. Technically like how Me1 was. Me1 didn't allow facecodes, but you were still able to import it.
/Confirmed.

Hey can you please provide links to where it was confirmed? Also, there is a thread in the ME3 general discussion that could really use the confirmation.

You will be given the option to alter the appearance of Shepherd, and you will be able to change class (i.e. Soldier to Adept) as well.
NOTE: Some ME2 saves will not be able to import the face-file of your Shepherd. You will need to re-create the appearance when importing the file."

Hmmm, I wonder which "some" they're referring to?

I don't have a face code, and I do NOT want to make a new one.
I really hope Bioware patches this in the next day or two. ME2 imported my Shepard just fine, I don't see why I should be forced to recreate my Shepard now after I've grown so attached to him.

I am not sure what thought process led to the decision to punish your most loyal fans that have played the game since the first installment with the same character.
I have played 2 play throughs of ME1 and 2 with the same face... Because, to me, that is what Shepherd looks like. To play now with a new face... Just doesn't seem real.
I am rambling... So I will go now. But probably not to play ME3.

One got the failed to import error, the other did not error, but the character's face looked NOTHING like the proper appearance. I mean, not even the correct hair color.
Did this problem happen when you imported from ME1 to ME2? I don't remember recreating each from hand ... but it has been a while.

Seems barely functional. I have two play through saves that have been carefully saved over the years and started all the way back in the days when ME1 was new.

This was the same for me. Of the two characters I imported, one "failed to import," and the one that did import looked COMPLETELY different than she did in the other games. I tried to recreate their faces by looking at a photo and comparing, but I didn't seem to be able to find the same facial options to make a good copy. It's very disappointing, because my Shepards looked the same in the other two games: why can't they in this game?

I also had to remake my FemShep, and its very discouraging. I managed to 100% both ME's and planning on with ME3. But I want MY Shepard. I agree with TInPA and Superninfreak, I have grown very attached to the character I built, I hope they fix this ASAP.
I do agree. I failed to import MY fem Shep face, I had to recreate it which is impossible as there are different options in ME 3. For instance, I cannot have the same hairstyle as it is not available, not to speak about the rest.
I played through the first mission and I was deeply dissappointed. I simply did not feel it was my Shepard, as if I started a completely new game.
BioWare guys, could you please fix this issue? I don't want to be distracted from the game, this is my favourite franchise, but without my Shepard it is just one from many others. :-/
