My Xbox 360 Collector's Edition was cancelled this morning without my request. Preordered on June 6, 2011 and it gets cancelled less than a week before release!?  I'm waiting for call back from a supervisor since the rep could not figure out why it was cancelled. Good job managing inventory, EA. This will very likely be the last product I purchase from you if this isn't sorted out.

edit: Canada here as well... wonder if this is a regional issue.

EAs customer service is abhorrent. It's probably for the best anyway.

Best Buy, Amazon.ca, Future Shop...all sold out online. You might try a physical store (I've had good luck with Future Shop) for shelf copies of the CE. Get there early, or call and see if the games department has a tendency to order spare copies of CEs.

Good luck.

thanks, i'll try calling a few stores when i get home.

And yeah i already knew EA customer service, and just about anything related to EA was just pathetic, but I expected a bit more for a game as expected as ME3

Hmm, I ordered mine from Origin for the 360 on Jan 24 2012. Seems to still be alright. Also from Canada so hopefully mine won't suddenly get cancelled as well. ****ty deal OP

For those seeing cancellation:

Is your billing method up to date and correct (address, expiration date, enough credit/money in the account to cover purchase)?

Similar stuff happened to people RIGHT before Origin shipped out physical SWTOR copies...usually because either there wasn't enough "on" the card to cover the purchase...or because the expiration date had lapsed on the card since the preorder...and hadn't been updated.

Given the trouble that caused (the expiration date, especially), I would have thought they would have modified their system to ALERT the consumer of an issue, rather than just cancelling the order all together.

If you're in Canada EB Games still has the CE fro XBox and PS3 listed on their website.

Checked the site (not that I'm in Canada, so....), and while both are listed, if you click on them it says "not available".

That's not an issue for me... my order was placed through a Paypal account, which was and is up-to-date, and I certainly don't lack for funds in my account.  Whad I did do, was cancel a separate Digital Deluxe pre-order since I decided to stick with the Xbox version (kb+mouse felt uncomfortable).

Knowing who I was dealing with, I mentioned numerous times that I didn't want my Xbox order cancelled, complete with order numbers, bold writing... everything I could do to make it clear for the rep.  Best advice if you want to confirm order status: JUST LEAVE IT BE.  DON'T CONTACT EA SUPPORT BECAUSE THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO SCREW THINGS UP SOMEHOW.

Damn, that really sucks. Sorry to hear that OP, that royally sucks.

I haven't received a similar email but I'm based in the US and not Canada. I preordered on Amazon too, but will definitely be keeping a close eye on my email account from now on.

That would really annoy me big time.

I ordered mine (N7 Collector Ed) a couple of weeks ago or something from Best Buy online for in-store pickup and had no problems with it. So far I don't think I've gotten any cancellation order either. let's hope it stays that way.

I did Digital Deluxe for ME2 because I don't really need any of the stuff in the boxed version but I anticipated the game would be so good and it's been such a good title that I could take it out on a bang so to speak. Let me tell you that after the demo I came awfully close to having a boxed copy ready for one of you on EBay on March 6th for the amazingly low price of $215E+06 dollars and 47 cents via Buy It Now.

I stuck it out. I'm sorry. I know you would have been all over my auction at that price.

See, another reason to Hate Origin. I wish you luck, was surprised that FS and BB were sold out now, only recently they still had the CEs for order on their site for all editions. FS might get in some CEs day of, walmart had the CE of ME2 in store day of launch. But yeah, I wish you fellow canadians luck.

But the DDE is not the same as the CE by any means. CE is physical and tangible, the DDE has none of the bonuses that come with the CE. Yes it says theyre all there in digital format but a digital artbook isnt the same as a physical one.

Bump... I'd really like to know if these are isolated cases or if something is amuck here. Has anyone else received the email in the OP?

Boggles the mind that the publishers own store has to cancel orders. And orders placed 8 months ago? Good grief.

Keep an eye on Future shop and best buy's sites. Future shop only very recently sold out of 360 CEs and when people cancel their orders more will periodically become available.

They wouldn't have sold out as fast if there was a strict 1 CE per person rule. A lot of them are bought to sell on the secondary market.

My order was cancelled this morning without any reason given. I've had no problems in past ordering from them, so don't know what's wrong. Definitely irksome since I pre-order back in October and was so waiting for it. I should ask for interest on the money I lent to EA for past 5 months...
PS: Also in Canada

And EA Origin has worst online store customer support that I've ever seen, No e-mail or telephone number to contact.

Yep... something is definitely up with Canadian orders. Can we please get some kind of confirmation from Bioware? Do Canadian pre-orders not matter? Are you not based in Canada, Bioware?

To jevans.Montreal: 1-866-543-5435
I suggest calling that number only if your order was cancelled and if you have the fortitude to deal with poor customer service.
