That really sucks, and I hope you the best. Now The Prothean day 1 dlc makes more sense.
EA/Bioware saw how many CE were about to be lost and how many upset fans they would have on their hands, and now it's just getting worse. I support Day 1 dlc,and just checked my e-mail,I still seem to be one of the lucky ones.

I do have a question though. When I pre-ordered my ME3 CE from Origin back on June 8,2011. They fully charged my credit card at that moment. No pending purchase etc,I do not understand why it isn't the same for all of you?

I live in New Orleans,Louisiana USA.BTW No Canada or pre-order issues as of yet,and I hope there will not be any.
Best of luck to those of you who have lost yours. EA/Bioware should really do something. What has happen and seems to be happening is just sh*tty. It deserves some kind of official response, and they seem to be acting...

No idea why I wasn't charged immediately, Rip504.  I figured that made sense since I was well ahead of release date.  I thought they would charge me once the game went gold or had their inventory established, like other online retailers usually do.  I don't even think Origin's Order History page has ever worked, which is really unacceptable for any company that wants to sell online.  How are we supposed to have any trust in any transaction placed on Origin?

Anyone at EA that may have access to support:

Case #s: 02966344 and 02977916

My request was more than clear and one of these remains open despite being a simple "Can you confirm this order?" case.  I ordered from Origin precisely to avoid this type of situation, thinking if anyone is likely to have stock of the CE and not cancel orders, it would be the publisher themselves.

That you can cancel a pre-order placed in June of 2011 in one of your largest territories (home of Bioware) speaks volumes on why so many are relunctant to deal with you in any fashion.  I really hope that Canadian orders are not being cancelled simply to make up for unfulfilled retailer stock.  Your customers, the ones that pay you directly without any sort of discount, deserve more than this.

After one hour waiting for rep, I learn that they just simply cut me out since there's a lack of boxes. And they don't keep a open list in case they receive more. I would think that pre-ordering at the beginning of October straight from EA would have guaranteed a copy. Unless EA Origin comes back on that decision, I will never purchase from them again and advise the same to everyone else.

Without any doubt, worst customer service.

I'm from Toronto, Canada and I just received an email letting me know that my order has shipped via UPS and gave me a tracking number.

So it has nothing to do with Canada.

I had originally place my pre-order in January.

Same here.

OP, go to Origin's customer service and ask them to call you. This is the fastest way to get in touch with them. I've done this twice already and each time they have literally gotten back to me within 5 mins. The call center people tend to be more helpful than the emailer ppl as well, for some reason.

^ CE via origin.com? I'm not 100% certain this is a regional issue... but I'll wait until I get more info from this supervisor call I'm supposed to receive. I'm just not seeing why orders placed well before yours would be arbitrarily cancelled.

To everyone whose orders have been cancelled:

Which city and province are you from? It might be useful to establish a pattern here (i.e. cancelled orders in BC and Alberta versus fulfilled orders in Ontario).

I actually put my pre-order in in July, and the Origin store was really wonky at the time, so I'd been regularly keeping tabs on my order for a while... According to the call center guys I've talked to, they've been having admin issues over at Origin, so it's always possible that a valid order may have gotten misplaced.

Either way, I think the OP should try to contact Origin ASAP, at least to confirm what's happened to his/her order. Amazon is apparently still accepting pre-orders, which makes it a possible last-resort, but you don't want to inadvertently buy the same thing twice.

I'm from Montreal, Quebec and my order has been cancelled as well. It was placed on September 2nd for the Xbox 360 Collector's Edition. I think I remember being charged around the time of the purchase but I could be wrong. It's quite an odd situation... I guess I'll spend tomorrow going into stores and hoping they have enough CE's left.

Seriously, call Origin's customer service, guys. Their call center folks are waayy better than their email guys.

At least ask.

Montreal as well here... so is this a Quebec thing? And correction on my part: I was charged by EA when I placed the order. I used my credit card through Paypal instead of chequing account like I normally would.

After having contacted support, this appears to be a common issue and I was assured by a CS rep that my order was safe. I have been told I should expect an email regarding that.

Fingers crossed, at this point...

EDIT: What is the policy about transcripts from support conversations? I apparently did not save the chat log with the CS rep, but I have a different statement from someone working also in Support that basically asked me to place a new order... Which of course wouldn't work 'cause they are not available anymore..

I have checked my credit card statements and I have not paid for it yet. Oh man I'm getting anxious...

Good to hear, though considering I was actually refunded through Paypal, I won't hold my breath at this being some common mistake.  A CS rep's word doesn't hold much weight at this point (which explains why they escalated it almost immediately).  Unless I have the actual box in my hands, this is just a poor show on EA's part.  Won't happen again, I can say that much.

Yeah I'm not feeling too well about it, now that I think about it. I'm starting to wonder if calling would get me a different response...

Apparently Bioware got tired of everyone here threatening to cancel their pre-orders and not following through. So they did it for you.

I just don't get why people would cancel their orders? Is it because of the DLC everyone seems to be talking about? I tried to avoid the articles because I don't want to be spoiled :)

Oh you didn't speak to someone live?  Yeah don't rely on their e-mail or ticket support.  Their call back method puts you in touch with seemingly coherent people, however... so I'd recommend that.  Calling them yourself usually results in long wait times.
