1. I would like to thank the creators of Dragon Age for hours of very fun and hard play. I have enjoyed most of the game so far and still have many hours of enjoyment to come (I hope).
2. What I love about the game:
a. The story, cut scenes, battles, and graphics are top notch. I have played two scenarios so far (Dalish and Human) and enjoyed the plots.
b. I enjoy the game mechanics and the tactics slots. The tactic slots give me the ability to give my party general commands so that I am not always pausing. However, the pause bar is a lifesaver and I find myself using this to dictate actions on all party members, using their unique talents, skills, and spells to defeat difficult encounters. This reminds me of Baldur's Gate.
c. I think the difficulty level is balanced. I am playing at normal (my first run through) and I find the battles challenging, but not too difficult to complete. I find that even a difficult battle can be won by using tactics and all the abilities of my group. Even though it seems insurmountable at the beginning, I can usually win either the first battle or the first or second re-load:) I love that I have to really think before I go into battle.
d. I like the simplicity of crafting and the characters built in that can make special items for you ala Baldur's Gate. I also love the side quests and the different adventures you can get into while you are trying to finish the main quest.
e. I think the dialogue is very well done and the voices, for the most part, fit with the characters.
3. What I don't like about the game.
a. I don't like that before each major battle (boss), the cutscene basically ruins any tactical planning you can do ahead, especially if you are a rogue that doesn't have the stealth in combat ability yet. In many cases you are already surrounded before you even start the battle. I understand the conversation is important and I love them; however, it does make combat difficutl, but not insurmountable.
b. The high skill level of some chests. I find that you have to put way too many skills into lockpick and points into cunning. My rogue has I think over a 30 cunning and the third tier lockpick and he still hits chests he cannot open.
c. Bows and daggers are underpowered, but I know there is a fix in the works, so no sweat.
d. There seems to be much less versatility for character generation and progression than NWN or NWNII. However, I am sure that will change.
4. Overall, I have had a very pleasant game experience and have had not problems with the DLCs or the game itself. I look forward to more DLC and hopefully a Dragon Age II.

For once, a well-thought-out review that contains specific examples of likes and dislikes - and it's not a WALL OF TEXT.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Mostly agree. To point d. on what you don't like, what makes you think they'll mess with character generation? Perhaps modders, but I honestly doubt Bio will do anything other than add more content, rather than edit existing.
I also really hate the chests, too. Seems you can only open a lot of them if your PC is a rogue who's invested a good chunk of his points in cunning and lockpicking (e.g. waste)

That is why I hate Assassins Creed, and never bothered to finish it, not something that impresses me with Dragon Age either, however it makes sense here In my opinion.
as for AC:
What do you mean I must stand here, and kill him in this precide manner ? I thought this was interactive media, not a damned movie
