But what would happen if one Ardat-Yakshi tried to meld with another Ardat-Yakshi?
They'd probably both die with stupid grins on their faces.

However, unlike the protein affected
by Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, TBSP is only necessary for safely merging
minds, not for structure. So although it inhibits the sufferer's
ability to properly form telepathic bonds, it does not cause mental
dystrophy. TBSP is part of an elaborate safety mechanism inside the
neurons of an asari’s brain which help to prevent them from completely
overpowering their mate’s nervous system and hemorrhaging their brains.
However, the ardat-yakshi are immune to these effects. Having
the same ability to dominate the minds of their mates, two ardat-yakshi
melding minds are said to be able to use their mind control abilities to
restrain one another from causing any permanent damage, and receiving
euphoric highs in the process.

I believe the point of ardat yakshi being so dangerous is that the telepathic bond is an inherent instinctive part of Asari copulation. Which means even if the ardat yakshi had no intention of harming her lover, the psychic bond and eventual death of her lover would happen whether she wanted it to or not.silentassassin264 wrote...

You have to let the Asari in your mind. They can't just jump in and read your mind. The reason Morinth was dangerous was because she would convince people to do it.Conduit0 wrote...
