Alright ladies and gentlemens, I have got myself a beer and I'm gonna try to read through this again. And, start....

Okay, we got the beginning there, not to formidable... Getting kinda science-y in here, now... What the hell is a prion? Some sort of bad guy from "Tron" or "Firefly"? I don't underst---

Oh, my god look! My beer is bubbling! So pretty!

What was I doing?

Pretty beer bubbles? That's some understandable distraction.
To answer your question - a Prion is a malicious Protein. It causes Mad cow disease in cows for example.

To the OP: Great stuff - this is what SCIENCE FICTION is all about. Well done Sir/Miss!

This is all very well and good, but it doesn't answer the long-standing and incredibly important question of whether asari are capable of vaginal sex! I represent a theoretically large pharmacueticals corporation, and we would pay hypothetically large amounts of money for you to apply your science to this question, OP!

At least I can enjoy picking this apart.

what OP says is just an opinion, its not even a scientific theory. for example he provides no sources or empirical tests to support his/her claims.

and opinions do not matter in science, only facts do.

OP tries again and comes back ok

Not all of Morinth's victims die. Some come back.

No way near enough information to even get close to a working hypothsis.

For a start we don't even know what happens during linkups. It's almost definitely going to go under biotics, which is about as close to saying a 'wizard did it' as it can get. Biotics apparently control dark energy by Eezo nodules within their body; an effect occuring from in utero exposure to element zero. We have no real life analogue to Eezo and can't relate any of dark energy effects to anything.

Causings peoples brains to bleed could be a number of causes, usually increased pressure in the brain, it could be due to increased heat produced during mating, or it could be kinetic bleed; we know bioitcs can manipulate matter. Frankly it could be anything physical or metaphysical and not biological in anyway. We simply don't know.

Personally I think it's just homage to scanners and the head explosion scene in it.

Point is you can't challenge/disprove any of this because there's nothing to prove it either, it's entirely theory.

One thing I will say is injecting serum from a xenobiotic species is inherently dangerous. Yes I'm going to use wikipedia, but no it's not how I know about serum sickness http://en.wikipedia..../Serum_sickness

I'm not trying to be a kill joy, but talking about theoreticals in absolutes is a real bugbear of mine.

Well ok. But what about two Ardat-Yakshi melding? That is what most interests me. :)

Actually, the best option would be to isolate the section of their brain responsible for forming the mind-link (most likely the prefrontal cortex, Asari medical databases would probably have some info on it) and then:
*terrifying pic removed*

What? That's madness, how is Shepard supposed to have sex with her then?

Isn't that a lobotomy though? The ethics on sexual intercourse with a lobotomised person are surely... murky waters... but the subject is still living, insofar as that term can be used on one who's brain has been permanently damaged by foolish human tinkering.

Besides, isn't Asari brain sex supposed to be better than regular sex anyway?

Well not terrible, but still. I'd be an asari over human any day. :)

If you really want to survive sleeping with Morinth, recruit her as soon as possible then do all other missions to just before the suicide mission. At that point keep planet scanning until you get 200,000 element zero. Delete all saves including your autosave and wait until the full moon. Then talk to her.

If that doesn't work you probably picked the wrong conversation option.
