everyone should quit flipping out about the endings, the books were a TRILOGY. That means that the games are going to be a TRILOGY. who cares how it ended. personally i love the ending, complete and total mind racer. why cant you all get over yourselves and accept the fact that maybe the ending was put there for a reason

...I kind of get the impression that they will at the very least announce the first DLC, and will HAVE to acknowledge the backlash of the ending and explain what they felt went wrong and how they will fix it...

Could always pull the religious card. "Well, my Shepard was Catholic so he would never commit suicide..." Anyone got the Pope's mobile number? :D

well, ME 3 was delayed. Put back till March 2012.

They were working on the ending up to the last minute and Martin Sheen had to be brought back late on to finish.

Javiks story WAS in the game but taken out due to time constraints. Now given as a poorly fleshed out, short DLC.

Game has lots of little glitches from frame rate issues, lip synching to the untidy endless list of completed missions in your codec.

The ending is riddled with plot holes and makes no sense.

Fellow fans I believe Mass Effect is the victim of EA Games deadline. Publishers are like a rabid animal when it comes to making deadlines, gotta make the $$ on time for their shareholders. Put simply I dont believe BioWare have had enough time to finish it hence the flaws and horrid ending. They just polished up what they had with no other option and got it out the door, after all EA is their owner/boss now. I fully believe this to be the case and there is a s**t storm behind the scenes due to the fan backlash. They will have DLC that simply wont sell unless its an ending DLC, so something gotta give!
All the pre launch promises and hype are NOT present in the game.
We DO have a case!

PAX should put this to bed one way or another

HOLD THE LINE!

Maybe we can get a real update regarding the face importing mess they created. That was and still is a real cluster***k and how it ever happened is beyond me. They hyped that feature as something being constant in the ME trilogy and look what we got? *sigh*

Has anyone started a discussion on doing a walkout of the BioWare panel and other events at PAX if they don't provide a positive resolution to the ending?

Seems to me like it might be an excellent way to protest peacefully.

Being condescending, especially in real life, isn't going to get us anywhere. It may get us pushed back quite a bit - not just by BioWare, but by the community at large. I know a lot of people are angry but you can't let that anger cloud your better judgement.

I'm glad someone like you is going to attend this ^_^ hopefully the majority will see things the same way. Nothing good will come from being uncivil.

If I were going to PAX and they dismissed conversations about resolving the ending issue, I would stand up flip em the bird and just walk out.... no words.

This should be the response if they don't provide answers....though I bet they will, Ray said we can expect info sometime in April, PAX is perfect place to do it.

I wish I could make this event. Unfortunately it's half a country away... Hopefully we get some supportive fans out there who can let Bioware know we aren't all ungreatful for a great Trilogy. In the meantime, I'll keep supporting a great company financially and via participation in their games!

i highly doubt PAX will fix anything
especially since the Penny Arcade guys made a toon
that basically calls us heart broken ex-fans a bunch of whining kids
did you see their 3 panel smear?
the one with the krogan holding a birthday cake?
this one here: http://penny-arcade....omic/2012/03/16

yeah
very mature, thanks for having the back of the gamers, Tycho and Gabe
a bunch of sell outs
they can't lick biowares heels fast enough
"om nom nom nom, yes master, om nom nom, thank you for the under the table perks and gratuities EA, om nom nom nom thank you mmmm yes yes oh mmmm"

disgusting
i expected better of Penny Arcade
so disappointed they dont have our backs
but that's ok, even though PAX is happening down town from me
i wont be supporting them until they apologize and side with us
against bioware's heart breaking crime against us
the people that keep them in business
you work for us, bioware, or did you forget that while EA was threatening to pull your paychecks?

i know i wont forget
so good luck on your stunted launch of DA3
and have fun going bankrupt as nobody buys your DLC

think i'll go cancel my SWTOR account now

I think it's going to look something like this yeah.  I was hopeful that they might have an ace or two hidden about the ending, but after reading Muzyka's post it tells me they've really got nothing.  Calling it now...they'll announce whatever planned post launch DLC prior to shipping the game, and they'll start the infuriating info drip in terms of what they'll do about fans' dissatisfaction with the ending.

God help 'em if the first thing out of their mouths is "moar multiplayer maps are coming guys!! lololol. You'll love it!!"

I usually love being right, but man would I love to be wrong on all this.

I won't be there since I live in Europe BUT I'll be paying close attention to this.

Is this finally the moment where BioWare says 'It was all a plot. Of course this wasn't the real ending!'? I seriously hope so anyway..

Personally, I'd like an ending DLC, something to give some closure. I can understand why Shepard should die, he/she would never have been able to live peacefully and happily ever after. However, we're all craving one last hurrah from the Commander, so I'd love to see a prequel game. An ME prequel with Shepard's triumph during the Skyllian Blitz  would satisfy alot of fans, I think.

I disagree.  The reason Shepard has been fighting so hard is so that he can relax and live the rest of his life in Peace and of course to save the galaxy from the reapers but ultimately he is fighting to live.  But if all else fails there is always the Mercs and other power hungry people that Shepard can go after.  Point is there should be at least ONE option that allows Shepard to live.  There were supposed to be 16 different endings if I remember correctly 1 out of 16 is not asking too much is it.  For Shepard to live w/ LI.

Also, this is the end of the Shepard Story Arc.  If there is going to be a prequel it will be, my opinion, most likely something dealing with the first contact war, or another character in an environment that takes place during the events of the trilogy.  But this is the end for Shepard and that is one of many reasons fans are upset at these endings.

Prequel is what I meant, not epilogue. I could actually see a "Mass Effect: Origins" game that lets you start off from the beginning with Shepard being either an Earther, Colonist, or Spacer, and go from there. The end of the game being the Skyllian Blitz.

I'm just tired of harping on about the ending, really. It disappointed me too, yeah. Someone said earlier that they felt the ending was just rushed so that the company would have a finished product out for sale, and I agree.
