i havent purchased the game yet but i have one and two and i was going to play them both over again and import a character into the third one..now i am not..and now i won't buy the game..

All I can say is don't deny yourself this great game. A lot of the problem is with the last few minutes. It's an outstanding game otherwise. Besides, I'm not giving up on Bioware yet. I'm holding out to see what their plan is.

They were also very vague regarding the IT, not showing support for one side or the other.

Glad I'm not the only one that picked up on that.

because saying no the IT is complete and utter BS would contradict their themselfs as they always say decide for yourself on what you think would happen. Then saying yes it did happen would be saying all the others were wrong.

It means it won't happen, they stated they are not changing the ending.  The IT would change the ending

It reminded me of a typical Obama White House press briefing; no tough questions, rehearsed answers, only call on reporters that are friends of the administration. Typical spin control.

The IT would certainly not change the ending.  They said they were going to clarify and elaborate upon the ending they currently have.  The Indoctrination Theory could definitely be a part of that.  I say we save our ****ing for when we have the entire package

They probably did what PR told them to do.
But I really felt... "left down", per say, by the fans there. Cheering for a teaser of new characters for MP and silence on "We will comment on the Extended Cut later"??

Michael Gamble Tweet before PAX
“Hardest. Day. Ever. Seriously, if you people knew all the stuff we are planning…you’d, we’ll – hold onto your copy of me3 forever.”

Bioware after PAX: Okay, okay *roll-eyes* You people think our endings stink? Well okay, we will extend the endings a little bit until summer. Perhaps they will get more fragrant for you then. But you will not get any new endings - our ends are art, deal with it.

Seriously Bioware.... seriously?

I want to conclude with Mass Effect. I don't want to wait until summer to get disappointed one last time. If you think you have to explain your point of view about the endings, then write it down on the Bioware-Homepage 'now', as long as there is no other master plan (*cough*like the IT*cough*)

PS: Sorry for my bad english

"If you can't explain it simply you don't know it well enough."

Listen to Einstein, BioWare. The man knew his shizzle. Why'd you guys go and FUBAR the entire series with a gobbledygook ending? It doesn't make you "artistes." It makes you crap writers with a stick up your collective arses.

Cut BioWare some slack. They're doing this for free. It's not like they actually owe you anything for the ending.

You're right. They don't owe us anything. But all they're promising is nothing more than explaining the poorly written, anti-climactic ending. It'll be like showing us a flowchart of a dog's bowel movements: the end result is still a steaming pile of turd. Don't need to explain it to us. We already know why. And as long as they keep this up we're allowed to call them on it.

They promised some stuff...
“I’m always leery of saying there are 'optimal' endings, because I think
one of the things we do try to do is make different endings that are
optimal for different people “ -Nop

“[The presence of the Rachni] has huge consequences in Mass
Effect 3. Even just in the final battle with the Reapers.”  -Nop

“There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How
could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and
then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t
say any more than that…”  -Nop

"...At this point we’re taking into account so many
decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that
stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings,
where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got
ending A, B, or C.....The endings have a lot more sophistication and
variety in them.”  -Nop

They owe us what they promised?

Meh. You paid for ME3, you got ME3. You got a game. You don't like it, don't buy anymore.

And if you don't like "dem apples", Bioware/EA is telling you the same thing, so really, you're just butting your head against a brick wall.

What's that saying about the definition of insanity?

Well, the PAX brought, what I dreaded: Hollow answers to tame questions and political talk, about things that seemed interesting, but ultimately distracted from the problems only. It's good that it all went down peacefully, but I honestly wonder, why. Tight security?

Yeah, fighting against the ending is "problematic", but I just felt an empty whitin after that ending...
For what is worth(and it's a lot) they did just gave me the best game trilogy ever, and I guess I will just keep my "fan-fiction" for the final hour. And if I recall correctly, Casey Hudson himself said that there was no canon in ME... ^^

So... did anyone else notice how Bioware ignored the majority of the questions about the endings?

You know this is a stupid comment.  You have to.

We were promised pre-launch and post-launch what this game would be.  That's called advertising.  We bought the game, even preordered collector's editions, based on this advertising.

And the adverts were full of lies.

How could you not understand what's wrong with this?  Or are you that blind you follow Bioware's every word, and defend something that should be big and clever enough to defend itself?

Sorry, but if you bought a car they was advertised to have ABS, airbags, a turbo and a big soundsystem, and then realised you got none of those things in your car AFTER paying for it, you'd be mad.  And that's exactly what's happened here.

Problem being, we didn't pay to make up our own fanfiction.  We could do that for free.  We paid for a cinematic experience that we could influence and experience.

As for no canon in ME, that idea went out of the window when 'artistic integrity' was introduced.  Not to mention the fact half the choices you made in ME1 and ME2 make no difference to ME3 - the council being the biggest offender.  There's canon, and its Bioware's.  Any changes we can make are minor at best when faced with the only endings provided.

That's because they said they wouldn't be talking about them. Bioware's becoming laughable, ignoring the problem and pretending it doesn't exist won't help anything. PAX was an hour of them giving themselves an auditory handjob and waving off any questions. There was something funny that happened though, when they asked for favorite ME games hands shot up for 1 and 2 and there was **** all for 3.

I've said it before....let your money talk for you. Originally I thought that politicans were the biggest waste of natural resources....I may have to reconsider.
