i havent purchased the game yet but i have one and two and i was going to play them both over again and import a character into the third one..now i am not..and now i won't buy the game..i should've known Bioware was ****ting the bed when Dragon Age two was dumbed down incredibly..

sigh bioware...jade empire, kotor. neverwinter nights...shame to see how low the mighty have fallen..
thank you EA

I'm one of the people who hates the ending and thinks  that it ruins the game and the replayability of the entire series.  But even then, I would say to you:  get the game and play it for yourself.

Don't let other people decide what is and isn't good for you.  For me, it was an amazing journey right up to the moments before the ending.  I wish I could only remember those, but it is what it is.  Take that trip for yourself and decide for yourself.

If you don't want to get it new, there are tons of stores selling it used from $30-45.  If you want to go to eBay, then you can get one used for $15-25 pretty easy (last time I looked there were about 1000 copies of the game up there).  Craigslist, I'm seeing $30-40 for most people in my area (Seattle)

He'd certainly qualify.

The IT would certainly not change the ending.  They said they were going to clarify and elaborate upon the ending they currently have.  The Indoctrination Theory could definitely be a part of that.  I say we save our ****ing for when we have the entire package

Thank you. I had to go to bed and could not respond to him right away. They still left it open that any kind of interpretation can still be correct. Plus, I totally agree with you about saving all this until we actually see what Bioware brings to the table.

I'm curious if anyone from Bioware actually explained what Casey Hudson meant when he was talking about large cariety of endings?
This whole Bioware ignoring fans situation is making me really sad.

I have my own share of problems with the endings but at least they're trying. They've said it's not a matter of a few cutscenes:

Michael Gamble ‏ @GambleMike:
"no. It won't just be a 'few cinematics'"

At least they didn't go with the dark energy stuff, those choices would have even simpler and more depresing. Hey, try and solve something you have no information on with the ruins of the galaxy or be consumed by the reapers. I can guarantee that more people would have complained. I'm not saying they don't have a right to complain but adding cutscenes to show us more of our choices actually having consequences in the fight is a great idea. I just want Wrex and Grunt fighting side by side killing as many of the reaper bastards as possible.

For me Matrix scenario was worse :P. There is way to many movies and games about Human vs Robots conflict. I don't mind depressing sad ending, but I didn't like Reaper's motivation and lack of explanation what happened.

But I can accept it. For me Extended Ending is enough.

I doubt after this debacle whether we'll see Hudson fronting a game at the publicity end again. That neither he or Mac Walters attended the PAX panel speaks volumes. I felt kind of sorry for the guys who drew the short straw and got sent down to try and put a positive face on the situation, especially when they did the hand raise and it was apparent barely anyone in the room approved of the existing ending.

I did find it amusing that they're attempting to sell the extended cut as more than a lick of paint when that's all that it fundamentally will be. Certainly I don't disapprove of that within itself. The whole 3rd chapter lacked the quality of the previous ones imho, so a polish up wouldn't be amiss,  but the present ending itself is incongruous with much of what's come before and there in lies the heart of many people problems with it. You can put a hat on a pig, but it's still a pig at the end of the day.

Is there some kind of media blackout in effect or did only one person at PAX own a video recording device? Does anyone have any other media links on this?

I hate waiting this long ... and not getting an answer of great intent. Seriously - they claim they care but they surely keep us in the dark as if we are some kind of disease.

Reminds me of that old Edgar Allen Poe poem, something about the Red Death, I think. The nobles laugh at us from a secluded area while we wait anxiously for a cure.

Yes, of course I'm over exaggerating.

We can at least hope in 10 years time another studio will do a reboot of the franchise. Like they do with films. The same, but different. And better. Maybe by then I'll have gotten over Mass Effect 3.

I want to give a special thanks to the mass effect 3 team for a great appearance at pax east. they were very gracious and very humble during the panel, and I thought they did answer most of the more relevant questions. also in room 105 they were giving away free download codes for Xbox avatars, lithographs and signing just about everything you put in front of them. I saw some really cool cosplayers, and "real" samara was there. it was well worth the more than 2 hour wait in line. thanks guys.

so far EA games are the only one's who do the online subscription for xbox live, so they can cash in on the 800 points it takes to buy a new subscription code

The dark energy was a great ending choice. Talk about a moral delema. That would actually be a touph choice to make. Not like this ending which all the endings were the same, so it wasn't a hard choice to make at all.

See i probably would have been thrown out because HERE would be my questions:

"Could you explain and justify your claim to 'artistic integrity' when a stock image of another artists work was used for Tali's face, which was and has been a big issue since the first mass effect?" part 2: "is keeping "artistic integrity" more important than losing the majority of your fan base and will there ever be an apology for letting down the people who pretty much gave you a job?" (Was already stated that "without us, we are nothing"

you should've seen them policing the PAX chats - every question relating to the endings, lack of help and support etc was being deleted!

seriously? I didn't even hear this yet. and I must say, that if it takes over 3 days of emailing, yet only 5 minutes on livechat. 'lack of help and support' is quite a small word. Poor english, not reading my post at all...yeh. atleast the live support guy was proffesional and polite.

anyway, I must say it doesn't really suprise me. I'm suprised they didn't try to do this on the forums. then again the rage would spiral out of control and banning several thousand accounts, over tens of thousand of topics and post is near impossible.
