Look I am no fan of the lack of emphasis on the endings either but everyone is acting like Bioware is the only one who screws up games at the end or makes false promises. Doesn't anybody remember the promises Lionhead Studios made about ALL the Fable games? Yes they are good but also not exactly what was promised. It is not just one studio or even several that deliver the opposite of what was promised. EVERY single person has done that atleast once in their lives. Maybe part of the whining is true but the rest seems to be from people who see that in themselves and don't like it. Everyone is entitled to their own oppinions. Sure Bioware made a mistake with how they aproached the endings, sure they should admit it. But atleast they said oops we boobooed by not extending the endings for clarification in the first place so we will offer the clarification for free. That said, I am fine with that but I wish they would make it available much sooner and maybe throw in a free in-game weapon pack as well for us. Granted some will still go BALLISTIC over what they "personally" can't control, but that is just human nature. That said I still love Bioware games, and will play what I personally like.

Totally agree with this. Yes the last 10 minutes of ME3 sucked but I really enjoyed it until that point. Loved the first 2 ME's and will still buy a bioware game if it's good. Good job to Bioware and hope the release this summer somes up some of the questions not answered.Image IPB

I've got money on it not, sadly. Bioware, don't screw this up. I'm already not buying any more of your games or DLC until you fix ME3, don't make me carry it on past the Extended cut!

The solution with the extended cut is their try to calm down the bad PR by the big majority of fans (which they ridiculously describe as few).

Just look at the Amazon reviews. Many "Mass effect 3" Articles only get to 3/5 points due the fact that there is a LOT of people giving it bad results.

For what it's worth, in a lot of these cases you end up with a 'vocal minority.'  It sold what, 3.8 million units in the first week?  On Amazon you have 1300 people rating it, and not all of those are 3 stars.  You get 2k people on metacritic chiming in with their opinions as well, but even if you add those folks up with a small number.

You can't really judge how good or bad something is by the venom or praise heaped on it on the internet.

Sidenote: No offence StMalk but although that interviewing lady, on the pic above, really looks gorgous, this is not a "single bar" here and i highly doubt that anyone here can help you to find out her name, employer, contact or whatever.

You have my pity....

Lol, that's not what I meant. I just wanted to find that interview as they interviewed me as well, lol.

...and you can't trust Amazon anyway. Anyone who gave it a fair review and said the ending was wack got voted down. The game was not all bad and Amazon is not a fan club. The ratings are supposed to reflect the whole game, not just the end.

Please excuse my interuption to the original subject of this thread.  I just started a poll, asking people to state if people liked or disliked the ending AND what type of game platform they played it on.  http://social.biowar...90/polls/31865/   Would appreciate it if everyone took a moment to vote once.  Thanks....now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

People who are disheartened by Mass Effect 3's ending join the Hold the Wallet campaign and Bioware and EA will have to listen to the fans lest lose money and costomers. We are a civil group dedicated to giving the fans what they have earned with their cash.

I agree as well the Mass Effect series are simply amazing games and I hope they continue it in coming out with more games. I hesitate in saying this but if they came out with another mass effect game I would probably buy that as well because I enjoy the series so much. I do think that the developers should not be rushed into producing a unfinished product simply to make more money of the people who buy it tho.

(and I hope they give us what they have promised us over the years regarding Me3 and the multiple endings........I will not go into a what they promised us rant)

How would they continue it? I mean they did just blow up every single active mass relay in the milky way and many of us saw what happened when you blow up just one. Though i suppose they could do a prequel?

I truly wonder if the original owners of Bioware knew then how their name would become tarnished via ea if they would have hesitated at all before selling their sou. er joining up (being absorbed) or whatever it was called.

I truly wonder.

Of course they did!  EA is a monster that destroys everything that is beautiful. Countless empty husks of things that were once wonderful lay at their feet. I'll cheer day the cancerous EA goes bankrupt.

I know it's common for developers to model in-game characters on real world people...did Bioware model the husks on their own management and the EA suits?

Bump for a blue response.

Seriously, I would love an "Honest with each other" response.

"Artistic integrity" that second word why does it feel so misplaced?

As a consumer who was deliberately misled by hudson and others at ea/bioware, i wish for a formal apology, followed by the financial reasons they won't be fixing the endings.

I dodged the bullet that was dragons age 2, but was tricked and misled by the demo for me3, I don't want my money back. I want an equal to ME2 ending. You did it in the last two ME's is there any Good reason you couldn't have done it for the final?

Please do not take this personally but bioware as direct result of new management has gone from Revered to reviled. How how how do you justify that?

To those who agree please "HOLD THE WALLET" No DLC for Me3.

Yuni

PS as I am locked out of almost every other thread please cut and paste me if you like it :)

My problem with this whole, "if only you guys knew what we had planned" speech, is that they won't tell us anything that we should've known from the start. They promoted, and marketed an unfinished, unpolished game and then when we called them on it, hid behind "artistic integrity". What the hell has happened to the people that brought me ME1 AND 2?!? Why did you suddenly decide to dumb down the final game of the trilogy, for people who never cared about ME in the first place?! I think adding "action" and narrative" mode forced the game to be streamlined for idiots, and we all had to suffer for it.

I challenge ANYONE at bioware to explain to us, what closure and clarity the original ending to ME 3 provided that we just don't understand. Bioware took all of our choices, the ones that crafted our individual stories, and said, "you know what, we've got a better idea for how this should end for you." Think about it, all the choices shown upon import have been negated. Tali's exile, rewriting or destroying the geth, killing the racnhi queen, Anderson for council, destroying the collector base......

When did OUR journey as commander shepard suddenly become YOUR journey?!?

That entire PAX panel felt like a swift kick to my balls as a gamer. I wasn't even that mad at bioware/EA until the panel then I just felt disrespected and a little disgusted.

I am curious about the EC. If it is what they tell it is, only an extended explanation, it will be a PR disaster for them. What I do not get is, do they have no people in they PR/external relations department? Until now, they did everything to make thing worse....
