Howdy Boston fans (and those who are willing to travel to Beantown).

I'm pleased to announce that Dragon Age will be a part of the Penny Arcade PAX East event in Boston Mass from April 6 through April 8! I can't reveal our full plans for PAX East yet, but I can now confirm that we will be having a Dragon Age panel in the Manticore theater on Friday April 6 from 3:00 till 4:00.  Immediately following the Dragon Age panel is a Mass Effect panel, so think about watching both!

As we hinted in the official PAX East program schedule, we will be giving special recognition to fans who come out to the panel dressed as their favoriteDragon Age characters.

We'll be revealing more details on what BioWare will be doing at PAX, who will be on the Dragon Age and Mass Effect panels and more as we get closer to PAX East. Keep checking back to this thread for updates.

We hope to see you in Boston! :)

*sniff sniff* what's that smell... could it be a Dragon Age 3 announcement?

I think till the end of march we will learn about a DLC or (hopes for it!) an expansion, and they will show it on PAX!

One can dream right?

I'm expecting they'll announce some kind of DLC (or hopefully an expansion) to go along with the upcoming anime. The timing would be about right.

Or maybe something about the animated movie. But yes, a new DLC would be very welcome aswell!

An expansion please. Haven't bought the DLC yet although I've heard it's good, but an expansion is too much to pass up. DA3 would be even better!

There's still Dragon Age? I thought B already ignored it with all the DLCs and patches pretty much forgotten.

Looked at the schedule -- there is a Wyvern Theatre and Bioware is not setting up in that? Tallis is going to be so disappointed....

Even though this is great news for the Dragon Age community, I am now looking for an entirely new activity to engage. "Dragon Age: Origins" and "Dragon Age II" will always have their place in my heart, but I don't see any yearning to play another sequel, expansion, or game. To be all honest, if you folks have been paying attention, game technology and software sales have been on a rapid decline. As a result of strong software regulations (drm) and the cheap money grabs (dlc), the entire game industry is steadily slowing to a crawl.

People do not want to lease software, nor do they want to be told what to do. Until software developers and publishers wake up, more and more gamers will move onto other things.

*shrugs*

Again, BioWare and "Dragon Age" at Pax sounds like win; however, I don't think people want to be told what to do with their merchandise. I would rather give up gaming than lose my personal consumer freedoms and rights.

Long live the days when the developers were the regulation and establishment rebells.

Ugh! beantown. so far away- wish I could teleconference it. But I am excited to see what news they are going to release and what people get for dressing up as characters.

I hope there'll be an announcement of DA3 or at the very least something for DA2, I haven't had the energy to make another playthrough of DA2, so something fresh and new for it would help get me back into it.  Can't wait for DA3 though, this is my favorite game series.

Just don't give people attending the event exclusive DLC that rest of the community can't get, like last year at San Diego Comic Con. That was pretty low on your part BioWare.

Are there going to be new DA news?! Hopefully it involves the game and not another external media (unless it's written by Gaider I guess)... I can hope...

I can hope for a full expansion, because it would give them enough content to release an ultimate edition later, which I am a sucker for these days, nothing like having all the game content in one place. Those damnable hangman shirts could not have been meaningless could they? That would be truly disappointing if true.

It's far too soon for DA3. Let's let them take their time on this one and make it really good. I'd love some DA2 dlc, preferably something meaty. Since a patch was just released a dlc seems like a reasonable bet. Why else would they still be working on patches this late?

By the way, thanks for that update. It's nice to see you are still fixing problems with this one. The update will be nice when I finally get around to popping Dragon Age 2 into the system again to do my cannon play through.

I read this as a "Dragon Age Paddle" and I got ... "excited".
