@ Pasquale this horse is dead before you can even get it out of the barn dear... MODers are for some reason (the perverts XD) enthralled with naked / siminaked gaming in general. Add to this the romance that the DA games involve and it's inescapable. The games themselves tend to allow for a more PG playability but be careful what you download LOL.

What modders do is up to them.  I play on PS3, and don't do mods.

I do, however, want the game to provide some armor customization choices that would allow the player to make everyone in the party appear to be fully dressed for battle.  It's been done before, and I don't think it's too much to ask.

Dont be so awkward get a propper PC instead of playing on a console i couldnt hate myself that much to play RPG's on consoles you poor poor person i feel sorry for you lets have a whip round guys so pasquale can play RPG's the way they should be played on a PC only

I couldnt play games on a PC I like having friends to much dont wanna be a lonely nerd B)

No thanks.  I have propper (sic) PCs, but prefer to play DA on the console.

If you're really keen to make a new investment, however, I can think of several things you might consider.

you gotta have a slow mind to prefer DA pc over DA console, the stopping and starting on the pc is not a rpg its more like a RTS

That is a pretty elitist attitude you have there, pc gamer. Some people cannot afford to spend money on a pc capable of running the newer games. Some people can't afford computer desks and chairs, and other accessories. Some people can't find the room, and some prefer to play with a controller, on a couch. Everyone is different...welcome to the world. The game was designed for use with consoles too, and we don't need mods to change it in any way.

I think there is something to be said for both approaches to the game. I however do enjoy mods. I enjoy being able further customize appearance and gear. I'm not too sure about the "lonely nerd" comment LOL maybe I read that wrong but it's okay either way. Point being it's a good game to me at least either way you roll with it! XD

THE GLORIOUS PC GAMING RACE COMMANDS IT!!
Jokes aside, both PC and consoles have their advantages (though I personally prefer PC for anything tactical like DA at least), so lets try to avoid another PC vs consoles war.

That being said, I do hope we get a toolset, and its not like the console users doesnt have anything to earn by that. Looking at what the modding community have previously done is an excellent source of feedback for what needs to be fixed in the next game (an opportunity that Bioware unfortunately didn't use the last time, obviously, but hopefully they have learned something from how Bethesda took ideas from oblivion mods and implemented in skyrim).

I have an thought, lest release the whole game to console user and only release half the game to PC users and they can mod in the rest of the game the way they want it. It could be a new spin on things, console get the full game while we release just the core components for PC so they can make the game how they want it.

sure alienate the console players even more, its practically being done already anyhow, the only difference is that they arent actually fixing or creating the main story.

but yes lets get on the actual topic

I agree, hon, but what is the topic?  The event has passed, and nothing was really revealed; fruthermore, we were told that we should "wait" for further information.  It's the same old, same old.

Now I don't doubt that DA3 will be amazing; I don't fault the developers and especially the writers (I <3 the writers, truly), but I am just complaining about the poor communicaton on the part of the developers.

Probably it isn't their fault; probably they are being told by higher ups not to reveal anything.  But as someone who defended them up until the day the "no more DLC" message was given, I'm ready to throw in the towel.  I'm a little tired of the "we can't say anything just yet."

I'm half-expecting (not even kidding here) that they will string us along like this for the next year or so, then announce in April 2013 that the Dragon Age franchize has been discontinued.

I wouldn't be suprised either they took a knife and took pleasure putting it in DA fans backs, if you remeber chris priestly said a while back in a the end of the line fourm we have good news for DA fans next week and that was dlc has been cancelled. I really can't see DA3 being a success
DA2 sucked -25% fan base
strung along DA2 dlc waiters to say sorry no dlc -25% fan base
Mass effect 3 ending -25% fan base.

now the same old lies are spouting your decsion matters, mass effect comes to mind there.
they are making a big fuss about companion and companion armour to distract us from the rubbish mage vs templar storyline. why a greywarden needs to be found for a war that doesnt concern him is beyond my understanding

EA can get casuals to eat up this game if it's good. Think Dead Space 2.

All I can say is that since playing ME3, hearing about the conclusion of DA2, and hearing some of the rumors regarding DA3, I am terrified of what DA3 might become. Combining MP in a SP game doesn't work. If MP becomes integral to completing a SP game in DA3, I just don't think i can do it.

After starting my 2nd playthrough of ME3, I stopped after finishing the Rannoch missions because i realized that in order to get the best ending possible, I would have to indulge in MP again.

I'm not putting down MP games. I play WOW. (yes, I really do) There is a place for MP games and SP games, but i don't feel like combining them is a good thing.

I am really quite depressed regarding the state of Bioware games right now. I wish there was some kind of positive news about DA3 coming out. Instead, all I hear is the wind howling in an empty void.

If the picture of a silhouetted woman leaving a burning barn is, in fact, a teaser for Morrigan's involvement in the continuation of a Dragon Age 3 mage/templar war (as was revealed at the NYCC), then I can easily see a plot in which your Warden is sought out to reason or deal with her, based on their pre-existing relationship in Origins, to put an end to the threat she poses to The Chantry.

if bioware dont carry on wiv the dragon age series they are dead to me i cant even buy mass effect 3 yet because all game shops in my area are shutdown -_- but anyways i can handle the multiplayer thing as long as it doesnt effect the story that would really ****** me off but apart from that most of the changes they would make if they make another dragon age sound good

I liked the way they're doing companion armor. Small changes which can evolve into an overall big change.

It seems is the only thing they developed during this last year. In 2011 the announcements at the PAX panel were pretty much the same. More agency for character and player, more costumization, bigger world, no more reused areas etc.

I hope this doesn't mean that in the last year the DragonAge team was disbanded and its members were working on other projects. I hope this means that bioware is working so hard on the next DragonAge game that they can't loose time putting up sparkling presentations for the shows.

We're still all working on Dragon Age. When we have something substantial to show, we will! Until then, not a lot we can talk about.

I know I'm a little slow on the response but:

-Can we get some minutes or some other summary of what happened DA-Wise posted here, nothing more than a repeat of what was presented.

-And since there was some concept art presented can it be reposted here on BSN as well, I'm more interested in that then the minutes.

Agreed.  Morrigan's story is deeply tied to the Warden, and only the Warden, IMO...for Hawke's part we get only a passing mention of her.  And indeed, regarding much of her plotline (such as the OGB, whether canon or not), IMO it would not exist in the first place if the Warden/the Blight hadn't been there.  She might never have left the Korcari Wilds, perhaps?  This goes for Flemeth, too...she saved the Warden for a reason and I personally don't think that reason is yet gone.

The Warden his/herself has always been presented as someone who can mend fences, bring disparate, warring groups back together and pull the proverbial rabbit out of his/her hat to salvage otherwise literally catastrophic circumstances.  Given their past together, Morrigan's ultimate fate is the Warden's to take part in, I believe...whether for good or ill.

Someone like this could very well be a tempting coup in the current conflict, for the one who finds them.  Particularly a mage Warden, who themselves would have a greater stake than most in the outcome of the Chantry war.  Although, IMO the war concerns everyone in Thedas, mage or not.

Agrrrh everywone says Morrigan is so connected to the warden,NO,you can make her leave the party anytime you want and you can actually kill her in DLC the wich hunt
