DA Panel: Interesting! Hints of players being able to choose the voice of their warden should he/she. In fact appear in DA:3 - hints folks!

DA Panel: voiced protagonist VS. silent protagonist - still leaning toward voiced protag, however the system is being tweaked right now.
That almost seems disingenuous seeing as they've flat out said they're sticking with the voiced PC and dialogue wheel/paraphrases.

Meh....bringing back old PCs without letting the player control them is no good. Beyond giving a choice in the voice of the Warden, I'd hope they let us properly import the face too, seeing as any imported Warden would no doubt look mucked up in DA2's system. Unles they're canning DA2's awful facemorph system.

Considering that no new game has even been formally announced, perhaps any former declarations about the overall approach may be premature.

I'm inclined to agree, and would hope that one of the voice choices for the warden is D) None of the above.
BTW - Thanks for posting the twitter feeds!

DA Panel: Multiplayer not ruled out for the yet-to-be announced DA3. If it ever did exist it would resemble Baldur's Gate and would be co-op

But well... My point was to thank all for the updates. Old graybeards don't have twitter accounts.

I liked the part about the armors in companions.
"Suppose, in your party, you have a Gray Warden. And suppose you had a Seeker," he said, showing a male Gray Warden and female Seeker. "And you had this thing: a suit of armor, a chest piece, and it had stats and stuff."Laidlaw showed that armor set applied to the Warden, then to the Seeker, in concept art form. The armor looked slightly different on each, with "thematic" aesthetic differences applied so "they don't lose their identity in the process." Laidlaw then showed a slew of concept art, with various armor pieces from helmets to shoulder guards to bracers, then full sets, each applied to the two different classes."
He said exactly the same thing i said on a topic about this months ago. I remember giving my opinion that they go in the same direction that MMOs like Lineage 2 have.
In L2 for example, the same set/piece of armor looks completely different from one race to another, reflecting their cultures and so on. Same could be done in DA3, but reflecting companions personalities.
I liked to see they are thinking on going this way.

So, what's this announcement they said was happening?
i don't remember reading about an announcement.
They were only discuss their ideas for the next DA. Just like they did on NYCC last year.
Was FANS expectations to have some announcement but it was clear that is was not their intent.

This is where things gets interesting:
>>>"Suppose, in your party, you have a Grey Warden''
>>''"you have a Grey Warden''
>''Grey Warden''
Oh my god. Fully possible? Thoughts?

Apparently we'll be able to choose the voice of our Warden should he/she return in DA3.

No, this was just to show their ideas on how armors will look different from one companion to another.
He uses a Seeker and a Warden to make this comparison through concept arts. The armor will reflect their background, their personalities.

Yeah that is possible, although don't forget that they can always hint at stuff, never rule that out.
