No people are thinking that the "alternate" endings aren't alternate at all...that they are original and weren't included in space editions.

They very well may have blocked out some of the endings cuz they knew it was gonna get datamined all over the place. Right?

Unless the endings where already done and they took the good ones out so people who got the space editions could not leak the good or happy endings.

This would explain the forum slience and the interviews over the past few days. Lets hope so:wizard:

I honestly wouldn't get your hopes up about an ending patch. While it would be a marvelous troll, perhaps one of the greatest, it cost them some preorders.

If they had enough foresight to know the endings would ****** everyone off as a joke, they had to know that they'd be running a risk. I just don't see EA sanctioning that sort of "lolwegotyou" gamble.

Next week we discover is just a bug fix. GOD DAMMIT BIOWARE WHY DIDNT YOU GIVE ME THE NEW ENDINGS THAT YOU PROMISED!!!!!!

And with all the lost sales they're getting anyways, I'm sure they'd regain some sales if it was discovered theyre were much better endings.

But if those endings are final, the word will get out more and more, and cause lots of sales losses, i'd rather lose a couple, gain a couple, then lose some and never get them back.

But knowing EA...its sketchy...

Actually, it would be genius marketing/trolling if they actually cut out or changed certain editions in the Space Editions simply because they knew the endings would get spread, and they knew if they included an option like that in the leak, but it was fake, everyone would love the endings in the retail edition.....but that's not going to happen.

If it was a private developer, maybe. But I really doubt EA would be like, "yeah, that'll show them!"

Its just more likely that these are the endings they decided on, and the chain of command thought they were adequate enough to ship. I'd love to be proved wrong. But I doubt it.

I actually did't think of it that way, huh. Most of the stuff I've heard has been "maybe they removed the endings to troll pirates, which makes no sense.

Wasn't there a racing-game that let you just drive in circles if it wasn't the original version?

Though the Space Edition is a legit copy of the game, there's the possibility of persons finding it who will post everything they data-mine. Well...it actually happened.
So keeping the real ends off the game-disk could help with that.

At least that's the bit of hope I got.
