you have to wait and see and not believe everything you read. Play the game instead of reading a forum
I'm not really worried about people who don't know how the game goes think it all ends
(end of quotes)
Of course, this could just be marketing talk or damage control. So, it's up to you what you make of it.

Yeah, the patch has nothing to do with the ending.
Why do I know this? Because there are still a great portion of console gamers out there who don't have their 360s or PS3 hooked up for online.
As much as I would like to believe it, I don't think they're going to have a game out there with two different endings depending on whether or not you can get online, just to "throw people off."
Not according to most modern companies. Ever since 2006, many games are dependant onconstant online connections to activate games, such as Steam and now Origin. I couldnt play Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 without having an online connection. Which means the game was totally unaccessable to people with offline computers, and the same applies to offline consoles as well. with the huge DLC push and other things, many companies don't cater to those with offline connections anymore. True story.
Which is why this day one patch excites me.

Day 1 patch adds in the real endings ;-)
That would a huge troll move.
As much as I'd like it, I bet SOMEONE would start a flame thread about how Bioware wasted part of their disc space to hide the true endings.

Assuming that the endings aren't all that they seem to be I'd say they deserve the flame thread IMO. If they had never gone through with that stupid Space Edition stunt then this would have never happened.

Only thing I can give myself regarding the endings are these two quotes from twitter that are a bit down the page, 10 hours ago as of posting this:

that's how it's supposed to be https://twitter.com/...231382321246208
still I'm not sure what to think of anymore, regarding the leaks

I think the endings are final, pending a paid DLC, but this WILL probably fix the flashback bug.

If the Patch is only for the PC then we are most likely looking at a texture pack to raise the texture quality.

The strange thing about this patch is that it's mandatory on PC. That suggests something...substantial. The question is what?

Multiplayer has a separate patch on the way though, doesn't it?

Probably this patch. I don't see why it would be separate.

Just curious, if it is a patch for multiplayer, would it be required to download before you can play single player?
Patches for 360 always kick me off Live. I wouldn't doubt Origin doing something similar.

We'll see how big it is. A DRM patch couldn't be too big... but if it's a huge file, then we'll know it's something more.Unato wrote...
