I've scanned the wiki and the forums for this... apologies if it's just me being blind, but is there a list of assets (and pics) available for the DA: toolset? I want to start planning my mod before the toolset is released, and I'd like to know what I'll have to play with. Cheers!

I guess this falls under the list of things that should not be released before the game is out. Just wait until you get your copy, then you can browse through the available assets.

Makes sense to sit and wait until the game is released as well. And nothing is stopping you planning your mod, you don't need specific character/monster naming conventions to plan it in initial stages. You just need your types of characters/monsters - you just need to know, for example, that a Mage can get mauled by a Warrior, not that the Mage's name is Edward.

Sorry if you know modding basics and such already I was just pointing out character and monster names aren't that relevant in really early stages, :).  Also, DA:O is out soon so you haven't got long to wait it out regardless, .

For me, knowing what buildings, environment features, objects, creatures etc are included in the toolset would help me visualize an appropriate setting/s and inspire story ideas, characters and so forth (as it did for NWN).

I can wait until release… but if the lists were available now, then I could already make more concrete plans for my mod. Not to worry, it's coming soon.

A simple list would not be of much help... I mean, it would probably not help you one bit to know that, say.. an object named prp_fertblsm_01 exists. You really need to be able to look at the game assets, and for that you need the game installed.

For level art, see the wiki model list. The exterior terrain in which these models are placed can be moulded to suit most requirements.

Once you install the toolset (which will presumably be available this week) you can see the creature and placeable models by opening an object and scrolling through the available appearances.

Well, there it is. Exactly the sort of thing I was after. Much obliged!

Is there a similar list that tells what each of the Area Layouts are? I'm looking for the interior used for the Lothering Chantry, but it would be nice to have a list translating layout titles like "den204d" to "Denerim bar interior" or something like that.

EDIT: Okay, by brute force, I found that the Lothering Chantry interior is area layout "hrt001d", and the exterior is "hrt000d".  I'd still like a list if anyone has one, though!
