So far we know little to nothing about the game

I'm not sure where you've been, but it's clear you have not been paying too close attention.

We know this:

*The Day 1 DLC Companion
*Relays Blow up
*Some squad members and LI
*The Normandy's look on the inside
*Some bits of the endings
* Cameos made by almost every Main character from the other 2 Games
If I missed something Let me know as this is just off the top of my head.

Everything else is for the most part speculation and there is alot more of that then there is Truth.

While I have no problem with the endings myself, sometimes I wonder if the majority of Bioware's fan base play their games for anything other than story. Even if the endings are "bad" (which is subjective) does that mean you don't enjoy the game itself?

No. I'll still buy the game eventually, but I won't pre-order it. I'll pick it up used for ~$10 someday. Probably beat it once, and then never again. I didn't spend two games growing attached to Shep and his crew just to shrug off their inescapable grim fate/demise.

And let me ask you this, how do you know that their fate is grim? Maybe instead they feel hope....you do not have the context.

It's called logic.  I've heard it's useful.

And whether or not they feel blind optimism does not change the circumstances of their situation.  It is a grim, sad, unnecessarily contrived tragedy.  I suppose one of them could have drunk the Kelly-Aid, but that doesn't change that reality...just how they hypothetically feel about it.

Why don't you use logic, would th ecrew rather

A. Be turned into Reaper paste

or

B. While stranded, live out the rest of their lives as companions, best of friends living for eachother, knowing that the Reaper threat is over.

1: They don't know that the reapers are destroyed.  2: You seem to think this is going to be some sort of utopian eden for them.  I suggest researching early colonization attempts by humanity in our own earth history.  It's not pretty.  Toss in an entirely alien environment, lack of supplies, small gene pool (puddle, someone else called it)...and you have a recipe that's not very pretty.  And yeah, Team Dextro is dead.  That's only a good thing to people who hated those characters.

Frankly, there are fates worse than death.

The game play and entirety of the fun means nothing if I don't get the ending I want. ITS ABOUT THE DESTINATION, NOT THE JOURNEY. I am willing to waste my life protesting the entire game because of the final cutscenes, it makes sense in my head.

I actually just prefer to, you know, act my age. I don't like the endings any more than the next person, but I have the self control not to run around crying like a petulant child.

Clearly that is more than most people on here right now.

You can rest assured that after people have played the game, no matter its quality, and then share an intelligent criticism, they will duly be told to shut the f*ck up by the BSN. That's about as smart as things get here by the defenders. Seen it since ME2.

I think this should be done right now. Intelligent criticism and mindless hate and whining are two different things, one of which is far more prominent on the forums right now.

I don't think there's much hate on the forum at all right now.

There are credible reports of the endings, which have many fans upset.
There are skeptics, which is fine and understandable, who prefer to reserve judgement.
There are those who like the possibility of only grimdark endings.
There are those few who like trolling those who are upset, but they are few.

There is a real possibility that many people are going to be very disappointed by the ending. There's nothing wrong with them expressing their disappointment. Now if they lurk around for months hating, like some did with ME2, then that's probably not healthy.

It's absurd that the mods let these type of threads fly. Hypocritical even.

No-one is saying being upset is unjustified.

It's how people are conducting themselves. Most of them have the maturity of their actual age cut in half. Threads making fun of quotes made by devs. Direct or implied offensive comments directed at devs. Labeling anyone who isn't on the hate train as a "drone" because they don't share your inherent childish response to something they don't like and would actually like to experience the game themselves first. Etc etc. I think it's ridiculous people are even hating on BioWare. They clearly believed their endings would impress, unless people really believe they'd degrade their own game's quality, and in turn success, intentionally, for the sole purpose of setting everyone off. Their intention wasn't to create such disappointment, so I fail to understand why they deserve all of what they're getting simply for making a choice they believed would be well received. The only advice I can give right now is "grow up", because that's what so many people on here need to do.

Until I see a video on youtube after the game is officially released I will reserve judgement and not be an ****. If what's going around is true, I think I will embrace eternity with a banshee and call it quits, lol.

Here is your proof, people. The third and fourth image in particular. All have been posted by Xoisite, who went thru the trouble of taking them because of all the crying about "IT'S NOT TRUE!"

http://s9.postimage....4j3/photo_2.jpg (in the citadel, during choice)

Vid of destruction (red) ending (synthesis (green) is the same, control (blue) leaves citadel intact):

And the grandson/grandfather epilogue to prove it's the same planet where they crash (two-moon sky):

At least DA:O gave us the option of 'chickening out' of dying and still get a good ending.

ME3 ? Well, you're still alive, but forever alone. And your crew get stuck on some planet somewhere. I suppose they'll meet with primitive people too? Talk about watching too much Galactica, Bioware.
