Rebuilding the relays

Personally I think the Asari and possibly the humans could do it in 1000 years or so, but that would depend on what the state of the homeworlds are post reapers.

It's going to take a while. They'll have to discover the relay technology on their own and find a way to implement it in two different locations for there to be a functioning relay system. That will take a lot of time considering they're stuck with FTL drives (at best) and must also focus on rebuilding their own civilizations.

The only way I see the relays being rebuilt is the Control ending where you could command the Reapers to fix the Relays.

More likely would be reverse engineering the reapers themselves. The reapers managed to go from the Terminous systems to Sol system in a matter of months, meaning they have MUCH more powerful FTL travel than we do. If THAT could be harnessed, we would be in business.
They don't blow up in the destroy ending, they merely short out and fall over. So you should be able to get a lot of very advanced tech from them.
One problem people aren't discussing is, the extra-net is gone. Without the relays, data can only be transmitted at the speed of light. Literally 99% of the galaxy is not going to have any idea what the hell has happened with these endings. To them, everything just goes dark outside of their local relay cluster.

They already *know* how to do it, and can transmit that knowledge, AND are doubtless physically large enough to create "relay chains" of their own, leapfrogging from system to system.
The only excuse for the Normandy crew to be stranded, then, is the simple fact that no one knows where they ended up at.

That's the big problem, even if we knew perfectly well how to make Mass Relays, we'd still have to build them in usable locations after traveling there using typical FTL drives. It's just a mess.
Indeed. Even if you take Synthesis it will be eons before you can travel to string two relays together unless another method of superluminal travel is foound.

Well, in the meantime; the Reapers themselves may only take a few years to move from one side of the galaxy to another, and I'm assuming by merging organics with synthetic, grants everyone the same advantages that each other have, like how synthetics are immortal. The Synthesis ending may basically make everyone a potentially immortal pseudo-Reaper.
They can afford to wait then; in other news, poor Quarians, if you help them, they get cut off from their homeworld anyway. Hah.

The battlefleet yes, the civilian quarians are left on their homeworld when you get it back.
