One thing, though. I'm puzzled by the 'support refugee/support dock officer' thing near the beginning. What is this, do you think? Can you take one side or the other without engaging in conversation, or does choosing a side interupt the conversation, like a classic ME2 'interupt'?

It probably also confirms there will be no combat quests on the Citadel, a la ME1.
There actually is at least one combat mission on the Citadel, but I can't say more without major spoilage.
What you mean is that we probably won't be running into any combat sidequests or minor combat events while exploring the town sections. Admittedly, we never did that in ME2, either, they just didn't take away our guns or armor while we exploring.

I think it's one of those basic "talk to the people, take one side or the other and convince the opposing person to submit (possibly with Charm or Intimidate)" events you'd always find in the town sections of ME1 and ME2. Probably, you'll have the option to convince the dock officer to let the refugee in purely because you're Commander Shepard and therefore an important social figure at the moment.

And I wouldn't say there wont be side quests with combat. I'm guessing Shep will carry a pistol with him ala Kasumi.

Yeah, maybe you're right.
But don't you think it's odd that you're prompted by on-screen cues to 'support' one person or the other before you've even had a chance to engage them in conversation? Perhaps its a new kind of interaction where you 'eavesdrop' on them, and then interupt their conversation with your mind all ready made up.
Not sure if I'm making sense...

That's still a very short time-frame for 6 whole movies.
Doesn't...make...sense...
In Cerberus Daily News updates, the vid Blasto Saves Christmas - not usually a title one would give to movie number one - also came out sometime in 2185. So we know they can make them quickly. Two vids in rapid succession is hardly unheard of compared to Earth movie production rates, especially if they're churning them out quickly to make easy money.
Hell, The Pink Panther came out in January 1964. Studio execs noticed how popular the Inspector Clouseau character was, and they immediately shoehorned Peter Sellers into an already-planned murder-mystery play adaptation. The latter movie came out as A Shot in the Dark in June of that same year. (It's also widely regarded as the best of the Pink Panther films, despite the rushed production.)
This. I've always thought of the Blasto films as a quick-cheap-and-dirty exploitation series, probably so terrible they're awesome  that the studio is pumping out in as rapid succession as possible

Okay. But another problem arises, then.
What is the exact order of these movies? Why did none of the previous ones before 6 have a number? Why did they decide to start numbering them after 5 whole movies?
Bioware, are you telling me that being chronologically confused is a problem for other sentient races? They screw up naming their movies like we do?
How is that possible?!

Ha ha!
I think you guys are giving this entirely too much thought. I mean, its alright that you do if you're having fun, I'm just a little bit worried someone is going to start claiming "Blasto 6 could never have been preceeded by 4 other movies between ME2 and ME3! This is obviously a cop out by Bioware that is indicative of their decline! Preorder cancelled!"
Maybe I'm a bit skittish at this point, but whatever. Don't mind me...
EDIT: Just read your sig Dellinger, and I feel the same exact way about TV Tropes...

The two assassins outside Chora's Den. The people holding up Dr. Michel. Raiding Chora's Den itself when looking for Tali, plus the fight in the alleyway after. You can get into a fight with the guys selling weapon mods. And Chorban. And the krogan who's part of blackmailing Dr. Michel. There was no fighting in Flux though.
