Where's the proof?

It's going to be so amusing when the game releases and he finds out everybody else here is right on how the game ends. I think I'm going to save this thread for future purposes just to laugh. They're in an obvious stage of denial right now, there isn't much of a reason to bother trying like you said.charmingcharlie wrote...

That pretty much says to me that no matter what you are shown you will not accept it as "proof". You have already decided that any links to videos or screenshots are the results of "skill individuals doing a lot with a computer". So there is little point in trying to "prove" anything to you. You will find out yourself in a couple of days time.

^Normandy at the end getting sucked through a wormhole right before the relays go offline and the relays going offline in all three endings (merge, destroy, control)
Okay, I've seen that before. That still doesn't prove that the Normandy ends up foreveralone.gif on some uncharted world.

No I have seen the evidence but unlike you I haven't decided to blindly go "oh that was made up". I have seen the bik files, I have seen the endings on youtube and I am not stupid enough to have convinced myself it has all been "faked".
I AM CAMACHO wrote... Today's generation I swear, No searching for the truth just follow the leader. I am not saying that all the information is false. I am sure that certain elements are true, The disabled mass relay's, the three different choices but who's to say for sure. I am simply trying to point out that we WILL find out in 5 days. So until then relax.....Why so serious?
How about you leave out the bull "today's generation" I have been gaming for 20 years. The difference between me and you is that I have seen the "proof" and decided not to delude myself by going "oh it's all fake" which you clearly have decided to do.

Fair enough. No one took any screen captures of the footage? I'm not asking this sarcastically, I'm genuinely trying to figure out just how much information is out there right now: did you see this footage yourself, or did you hear about it second hand?

Nah, they'll probably complain and say somebody managed to animate that in days. "Durrr haz no sound it faek!" and not realize that .bik files don't have audio or the fact that the rest of it is rendered in real time after that. Mass Effect 2 did the same thing. Maybe ME1 but I never even looked through its files.fighterchicks wrote...

This is the same footage of the "destroy" ending that has been circulating all day, and still doesn't prove anything conclusively except that Something Bad Just Happened under this set of circumstances. I'm not in denial here. I'm just not seeing anything that has convinced me of the Normandy Stranded Forever theory. Once I see it--if I see it--then I will flip my pancakes. Not before though. :T

I've seen it. It's there again above you. The one I saw earlier was "merge" though. I didn't grab screen shots because I didn't think about it at the time.

Like I said in my previous post, I see evidence of something really bad and heartbreaking, but I don't see the Normandy crashlanding on some uncharted world; I don't see Joker exiting the airlock; I don't see Shepard's squadmates exiting behind him/her, as is supposedly what happens.

We have no idea exactly how it will play out and how it will relate to the situation. I love how many people are screaming that bioware sucks they are horrible storytellers......... Thats why your so upset and gave them hundreds of hours of your life because mass effect was horrible and the story sucked......yeahh nice try that makes alot of sense.

I'm sorry did you actually watch the video ? you know the bit at the end when the Normandy gets hit by the explosion and quite literally torn apart. What do you think happens after that ? Joker gets the puncture repair kit out and fixes the ship ?vanetian wrote...

Technically it's not "stranded forever" in concrete. It's a bit vague, but you know they're not on earth because you can see two moons (or one moon and a planet) in the background. It's definitely not Earth and they crash. You can head canon that they're within FTL distance, but the epilogue seems to hint that the Normandy crew created a colony on the world and the man and child are descendents of the stranded Normandy crew.

Well, just to play devil's advocate... that video doesn't prove anything except that in at least one ending, the Normandy gets caught in an explosion. It doesn't show the landing, the stranding, or anything else... please tell me how it "proves" anything.charmingcharlie wrote...

And before you accuse me of being in denial, I completely believe the leaks.
EDIT: And it certainly doesn't prove anything happens in EVERY ending.

I have no idea what happens afterwards. It looks like the ship explodes. What you're suggesting is speculation based off of something you may have seen, but I haven't yet. I'm not going to join in the hearsay party.

I understand. Assuming this thread hasn't been locked down, do post the links if you're able to find them.
I'm prepared to believe people who claim that they've seen this themselves, but what I'm seeing a lot of in the other forums is people who are very upset taking what they're reading at face value without finding evidence for themselves. I'd just like to know for myself without a doubt that there is something to be upset about, something that proves that this happens regardless of player choice, if it happens at all.
