I think I'll skip sidequests and opt for the 'brutal' ending where I don't have to subject my crew to hell.

yeah I dont put stock in what Peter Molyneux...oops I mean Casey Hudson says anymore, but I'm not shocked that so many on BSN still believe every spoonful of bullmess BW feeds them......fan(atics)

How can the ending be more brutal if the side quests are not completed? Sheppard is stuck alone or dead, the crew is stuck like "Lost" on some planet with no way home. But this is the good ending. I might as well run around the Normandy, putting a bullet in the back of my crews head say " trust me, I'm saving you from the good ending".

In the brutal ending, a dog comes up and urinates on Shepard's lifeless corpse.
