Most people, myself included, want to see a Krogan Vanguard.  What powers would you like to see on them?

Charge or Barrier
Warp
Carnage

These are the ones that fit most naturally to me.  Interestingly Wrex and all other Krogan Battle Masters have never had the charge ability.  Now I know most Vanguards would choke on their tea and biscuits on seeing a vanguard without charge.  So community what do you think?

A Krogan Vanguard would be way too OP, especially with the powers you list, with Barrier and Charge, you have a Barrier of 3000 or something.

Why not just make Wrex a DLC MP character, give him an adamantuim Claymore with a huge serrated bayonet and the colossus armor and call it a massacre?!?
Oh and I forgot warp ammo! :D

Exactly, ridiculously OP.

It might take a Wrex type character for the levels after gold/story missions...

So does anyone else have opinions on other powers?

Having Charge is too much already. I am not sure how you can make a non-OP Krogan Vanguard.  Maybe a Krogan Adept instead?

Krogan Adept:

Powers:

Barrier
Warp
Shockwave

You have durability and power but not OP. Shockwave being very good for CQC, Warp for range. Barrier being good to stay alive, Biotic Fortification.

No matter what you do it'd be overpowered, without charge it's just another krogan clone, with it it's immortal.

1600 shields that can be regenerated on a 3 second cooldown? Nothing could stop that.

I don't think Krogan need biotic charge.  It does beg the question is a class defined by its key power?

Adept would be fine as are barrier and warp. Not a fan of shockwave.

Krogan Adept would be defined by Barrier, maybe a level 6 evolution option would be to explode the Barrier at the cost of cooldown, sending enemies flying, something like that.

Meh carnage makes sense to me for a krogan but not an adept. Stasis might be OP.

I would love to see a non-charge Krogan vanguard. Make him play a little more like an ME1 vanguard. Give him a power we haven't seen yet to make him stand out--maybe Slam? An ability set of Slam, Carnage, and either Warp or Throw would make for a very aggressive biotic soldier. With the +50 bonus that Krogans can get to weight capacity, it would be a viable biotic/heavy weapons platform, which currently isn't available in game.

Replace charge with barrier and give him pull and throw. Epic lulz. This would be optimal for balance because he already has krogan charge but I'm all for a biotic charging krogan if the fans really want it.:D

Should really be Barrier and not Charge. Add Pull or Shockwave against Guardians and Carnage.

Edit: or give him the biotic Charge but replace his heavy melee with the Asari one.

I would personally throw out something that everyone seems to be forgetting: grenades.
Now, as for what type, iunno. I guess in my head it would go something like

Barrier
Pull
Lift Grenade ??

Krogan Vanguard

Barrier
Pull
Throw

Built more like a ME1 vanguard. Uses Krogan heavy melee as pseudo-charge.

Krogan Vanguard

Charge - this is a must, obviously
Slam - another biotic power that only affects one target at a time
Carnage - combat power that works fairly well at all ranges

This would be the closest thing to a ME2 Vanguard. No more squishy Drell or Nova spamming/screaming human. Just good old Charge+shotgun in the face. I can only hope. Definitely not OP build. LOL @ OP crap in this thread.

I don't know why you guys are so concerned about giving a krogan charge. So he can charge to melee range and melee? Seems about as good as a human vanguard with double nova.

If anything, the krogan should just have a slower cooldown on charge so he can't refill his shields as often. I like slam, maybe if he times it perfect he could even get a biotic charge explosion off it?

However I would like him to have grenades instead of carnage just so had a non-cooldown using ability.

Indeed.

Give this Krogan Vanguard a Claymore by defeault (which cannot be removed) to keep recharge timers balanced and it will be my favorite MP class. Or maybe have Charge on a much higher cooldown than the other classes (Slam and Carnage are another story - their cooldown should be quick). Something like the 5-6 second cooldown on Charge - like ME2 - would be good enough to ensure theyre not invincible and it willl give plenty of time (between Charges) to shotgun mooks in the face, or get into a bloodrage.
