I don't know where that original thread went, but it contained an awesome compilation of all the quotes BW made about ME3 that is worth looking through again, now that we know how the game is going to be like. I'm trying to rebuild the list, and would love to have some help.

THESE ARE NOT MADE UP. Source will be quoted where available. And try to stay civil and within topic. Don't give them easy excuses to lock the thread, because I'm damn sure they're itching to.
------------------

"BioWare has confirmed that Mass Effect 3's storyline may change in response to fan feedback. Following a mistakenly-released beta that led to leaked story files, co-founder Greg Zeschuk says that the development team is actively paying attention to fans' input.

"We listen to our fans all of the time," Muzyka said. "We listen to them on the forums, their feedback from stories. We're reading it all. If we can get ideas out of it that will make the game better, sure. We're not adverse to taking feedback. That's part of our core values, is humility [Hi Stanley!]. Any time we get a good idea from fans... they're our audience. They keep us in business."

------------------

"We have a really talented team of writers. We go through iteration after iteration, making it the best and most satisfying we can," he said.

"It's going to make some people extremely happy. It's going to make some people angry. But that's part of it, right? To invoke the emotion putting some of these stories to bed will naturally bring up.

He added: "I honestly think the player base is going to be really happy with the way we've done it. You had a part in it. Every decision you've made will impact how things go. The player's also the architect of what happens. "Whether you're happy or angry at the ending, know this: it is an ending. BioWare will not do a "Lost" and leave fans with more questions than answers after finishing the game, Gamble promised.

-----------------

"If players achieved a love interest in both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, then both previous love interests will be vying for Shepard's attention in Mass Effect 3."

-----------------

"As Mass Effect 3 is the end of the planned trilogy, the developers are not constrained by the necessity of allowing the story to diverge, yet also continue into the next chapter. This will result in a story that diverges into wildly different conclusions based on the player's actions in the first two chapters." - Casey Hudson

-----------------

"This [ME3] is really the best place to start playing the Mass Effect series, this is the beginning, middle and end of the whole galactic war," - Casey Hudson

-----------------

We wouldn’t do it any other way. How could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t say any more than that…" - Mike Gamble

Mass Effect 3 to be more "lighthearted" <-- WHAT THE HEWL?

-----------------

"Certainly it’s a very polished experience. In the story it starts at a time with a very singular focus and purpose in the galaxy. You could say the previous games were just a preamble to this moment. Everything has been building to this. It’s like the Superbowl. Who cares what happened in the regular season? Now’s the one that matters.
“Fans want a definitive end. They’ll be the judge of that ultimately when they play it and see how we do that. Certainly, what this game absolutely does represent is the culmination of almost a decade’s worth of work for the studio and for Casey [Hudson] and his team in terms of exactly what we’re trying to do with the game we kicked off almost ten years ago.
“They’re working really hard to make it a real proper conclusion, something that’s fitting to what they’ve worked on for so long, and what the fans are telling us they’re dying to see. - Aaron Flynn

----------------

We're making Mass effect 3 to be the best game we've ever made. That would make it one of the best games ever, and we're hoping to see sales that reflect that.

http://www.computera...ing-out/?page=3

----------------

"I think the exciting thing in the final chapter of the series is going to be just seeing where everything goes that we started"

Casey Hudson CES 2010

"You have to be open and take feedback…We've made our games better largely on press feedback. If you have humility it means you don't get indignant [about negative feedback]."

Greg Zeschuk Develop 2010

---------------

Yeah but even that is kind of open as to exactly what happened there. Obviously, Mass Effect 3 will reveal all; that's the point of Mass Effect 3, we tie up a lot of those loose ends. But I think it's safe to say The Illusive Man is still very much "himself" throughout the course of what people have been playing. We wouldn't ever want you to feel like "oh this guy I worked for was really an enemy all along." But that doesn't mean there weren't influences in his life.

So what would you call the Normandy crew stuck on a planet with no way home? But it isn't "lost" right?

Have you ever seen the fable series? It went from good to worse. Fable 1 was my bayby, Fable 2 was ok, Fable 3 was garbage and he promised it would all be better. He's like one of the biggest liar in gaming history

No, that's serious talk.  Don't think I'm faking cause you can't be psyched for the game.

No, I know you're serious. But your resonding to multiple negative comments with upbeat comments makes it seem a little...a little something.

I bet you're thinking trollish.  I get that a lot.  Unless you were insinuating some form of drug related inibriation?

I just laughed and shook my head as I read these. I'd be really interested in hearing an honest admission of their intentions with this conclusion, should it turn out to be as described.

The original thread: http://social.biowar...index/9556117/1

They posted no reason for locking it. Let's see how many pages this topic can reach before END OF LINE.

You know some of us have being point this out for years but many of you refused to listen and held on the hope that things would get better game after game after game.
