He is very much himself, do you even know how he became glowy eyed? He touched a reaper artifact!

In the books.

In the comics which were his introduction.

Not everyone reads the comics. Stuff like this along with the state of Cerberus should have been forshadowed in Mass Effect 2.

You can only blame yourself if you missed out on lore or information that was obvious. That's like being upset you missed out on Revelation, Deception, Retribution and that other ME book.

Well I personally read the books and comics so your arguement is starting to get really flawed.
Regardless, there shouldve been forshadowing or better forshadowing story wise.

Meh..

"Shepard will always be straight."

"Mass Effect will never have multiplayer."

"Your choices will affect your endings."

"Mass Effect 3 on PC won't be an xbox port."

..and many, many more.

So did Saren. But Saren wasnt turning into a husk or whatever the illusive man aprently seems to be turning into in the OP picture. So again " Better forshadowing ".

So, he has become Saren 2.0, is anyone really that shocked? The only other character with creepy glowing eyes like TIM was Saren, and we know Cerberus is on Team Evil during ME3. I wouldn't be surprised if a huskified TIM turns out to be a boss fight (Didn't they say he was orginally going to be the final boss, but canned that idea? Maybe they changed the idea to more of a mid-game fight.)
Also, Bioware had to lie, otherwise crucial plot details would have been revealed.

That was after he got upgraded. Look this arguement is going nowhere. Because now you're missing the point of what I originally posted and the point I was trying to make. We're done.

Incase you weren't aware, it happened after the guy died or went against the will of the Reaper.

Incase you also weren't aware, the change in the Illusive Man gave him a pretty big upgrade.

It was foreshadowed - by the fact that the Illusive man wanted to save/use Reaper technology in spite of the fact that every time he dabbled with it, his team became indoctrinated/huskified.

Then there was the eye-similarities between he and Saren, that was not just a co-incidence and everyone already suspected the connection BEFORE the comic.

I'm sorry, but the points are there to draw the conclusion, even if you refuse to see it.

Yeah, you're definitely drifting the argument away from the original post and arguement. Fail.

Your points and opinion are considered and noted, but you're far too insulting and dismissive / arrogant to really communicate with.

Don't be immature and ignorant like that. You've fit the definition of the word by your actions, as such I'm going to use it. If you fit the definition of a butterfly by your actions, I'd call you that as well.

People have already agreed with me not sure what your point is anymore because the topic is pretty much concluded.

This is just another circumstance of a BSN member making forum post, not to have a discussion and have a conversation about what happens, but to grab attention in an attempt to validate his opinion/beliefs.

TIM's 'transformation' is explain in ME3. Yes, he is indoctrinated, but it actually leaves a question as to 'when' he was actually indoctrinated.

Isn't the cybernetic eye siimilarities a co-incidence? If you notice when Shepard goes full-on Renegade you can see the Commander's "real" eyes, ala Terminator - and from what the in-game universe has said, cybernetic augmentation is quite normal.

Perhaps when you're capable of using terms by their definition properly, then sure.

He was indoctrinated when he touched the reaper artifact, but he somehow had some resilience for a while.

Apparently, you never fight him though you do have a final confrontation.
