Vocal group is always the minority in gaming. There are a few exceptional cases but most people either don't want to discuss, don't care, or move on.

I paid off my CE back in September/October, so I'm keeping it.

So tell me, how'd DAII end up again? Oh right.

HOW did it end up? EA met their sales quota and a lot of people got hundreds of hours of fun out of it? Are you really this spoiled that you consider a 7.5-8/10 game garbage?

Still buying, still playing, still enjoying! Played through 1 & 2 several times, always got the same ending!

If you killed the council, or saved them in 1, you got the same ending, Shepherd leaving to search the galaxy for the Geth/Reapers etc.

In 2 you get the same ending regardless of whether you destroyed the Collector base or not, you still p**s off the Illusive Man.

The choices we've made through the story so far have never changed the ultimate outcome at the ends of the games, they've only changed sections of the story and how they play out. Just be happy that Bioware has given you multiple endings to achieve in ME3 rather than just giving you 1!

Defeating the most powerful in the entire galaxy was never going to be easy

It's an illusion. Multiple variables but one ending. The galactic civilization is screwed.

How is it one ending? The future of everything changes based on your decision. Unless you mean you wanted 27 different pre-rendered ending sequences...

I didn't know the future was differently colored Mass Relays.

Sure. The endings they have aren't bad, they just seem to be missing one. And even then, it sounds like you can headconn it.

They still have FTL, Shepard can survive, the crew can survive - just assume that they manage to rescue the Normandy at some point.

Agreed. Oh and yes.

I've already preordered and preloaded ME3, just so that I can play at 12 AM Tuesday morning. It's a little late to not buy the game.

But I tell you this, though; if this game is as bad as I think it's going to be, this will be the last Bioware game I'll ever buy.

Yes, but I only give a franchise one shot, if they screw me I'm out. Fable, Saints Row, Dragon Age, and the list keeps growing. As of now those franchises are dead to me after horrible sequels.

I was a Bioware fan for over a decade, ever since I played Baldur's Gate 2. I gave them three shots out of respect for the joy they brought me with KOTOR, BG2 and Neverwinter Knights. They struck out with Dragon Age II and SWOTOR. If they get one more strike with ME3, I'm jumping ship for a developer that isn't taking Richard Garriott's experience with EA as a how-to guide.

I'll be buying the game, even though I'm HEAVILY disappointed in Bioware. I am more than certain the things leading up to the godawful ending will be awesome and amazing.

However, the ending isn't going to change how awesome all that lead-up was. I at least deserve to see one last bioware game before I forever wipe my hands clean of this company.

As many people have said "It's not the destination, but the journey." (Kreia from KOTOR 2 said this... had to mention her cause her character is one of my favorites EVER and I recognize her whenever I can) So yes I will... still just as excited. That and I've learned many times over to not let what is said on the internet to ruin any game for me; I have to expecience it myself to know if I love it or hate it.
Complaining about a game before It's out is just annoying.

If this polling is even remotely accurate (i.e. reflecting a respectable portion of the ME demographic) it does not come as a shock to see more people in favor of purchasing it then not. While I feel almost betrayed by the narrative choices for the game's possible conclusions, I've never been in doubt that the game will sell well. It's simply that, for what little it's worth I'm sure, I won't be spending my hard earned cash if these deplorable endings are all we (those who disprove of the endings) get. However, if things turn out to be not as they seem and there, in fact, at least one truly heroic ending reflecting the conclusions of ME1 and ME2 for those willing to work for it then I'll be more the happy to run out and grab a copy. For now, it's a wait and see approach.

It's all a matter of interpretation, really. If an actual 27% of Bioware's target group ends up not purchasing because of the endings alone, then that's a pretty big financial hit for Bio. I actually love the concept behind the conclusions, so I hope that's not the case.

I will still buy the game (or keep the pre-order) despite what I've been hearing about the endings. Because just like the reason why I bought Dragon Age: Awakening, I love my Warden. And I love my Shepards. Therefore I will buy the game to continue a new chapter to my Shepards' stories.

The Mass Effect series are character-driven games. It's about the characters. As long as the featured characters are satisfying, and blow me away with good writing and acting, I will be happy.

i too will still buy ME3....ive already paid it off.

when DA:2 was coming out i preordered it....even though everything i heard was bad. It looked so different than DA:O...with them promising it would be a fantasy version of ME2. Played the demo... it had its issues...but it was just the DEMO and Bioware had not failed me before.....but um...DA2....boy what a let down. I just cant get into it. I feel nothing for the characters one bit. The gameplay was okay...but the story and how things were put together was just blah... not my cup of tea is what im saying.

I trust BIOWARE will not fail me here. So far the only thing i have heard involves the ending and some plot stuff related directly to the ending. Anyother time it wouldnt have me worried one bit...but we were promised THIS would be the ending of Shep's journey...im alil worried. Not so much that all the endings are mid 1970's-ish (unhappy twist) or anti-climatic...just that everything isnt wrapped in a nice little package..complete with a bow...were i can walk away and go...that sad...but nice.

as far as the GAME itself...IT WILL BE A BLAST!! the last 20minutes aint gonna ruin the first 40+!!!!!!

MIDNIGHT RELEASE CE !!!

I'am a hardcore fans of MASS EFFECT and I don't care whatever ending come out I STILL BUY !!!

I already seen enough of sad ending from any RPG outside of bioware game. One of the game is Valkyrie profile 2 from SE.

And i think i will love the ending also And leave me to Imagine how this ME will continue.

Yep, this.

In fact, Bioware has made me question if I should even play video games, again.

I've been let down by a lot of things before, but never by a video game...

I think I'll start reading books again. ;)

I will keep my pre-order. I will also experience the game for myself and form my own connection with it.
I sincerely respect that everyone has their opinions on whatever spoilers they've seen, but at the very least I hope for the people that are picking up a copy that you do not discredit the sum of its parts due to your own perceptions of the leaks, and can derive some enjoyment from the game.

I'll buy it, but in more than a year (I already did that with ME2), at reduced price and if it is as bad as it seems, I'll make the same treatment I made since DA2: instead of buying the games from the start, only buying them when they:
-Are praised by friends.
+Are 100% complete (ultimate edition)
If not, just don't buy them at all (after a dozen great games, what a shame).

PS: the poll doesn't works for me.

Hmmm... I'll have to check to see if me getting a PhD in English literature 8 years ago was a dream or not... *checks wall* ... yup, degree's still up there... In other words, humor, much?
