Eh, yet another sh*tty manual (first one being Mass Effect's pitiful manual). Damn you EA.

Thats pretty much standard boiler-plate in any game that has any sort of online component...it's an out so they don't have to provide the online service forever.

I think it's safe to assume they'll unlock your DLC permenantly at that point, as to not do so would hurt DLC throughout the industry.

Distribution of copyrighted materials over the forums is prohibited. You folks are just asking to be banned.

Edit: Looks like EA is distributing the manual. My mistake.

Does anyone remember when game manuals used to be huge, chunky things? I just found my old Baldur's Gate manual - it's like a novel. :P

Thanks for the link!

Yeah, but most people didn't read those things anyway...only pulled it out when they were stuck.

wonderful! though I skimmed through the manual and must conclude it doesn't contain any background story. It's just an explanation of the gameplay mechanics :(.

You realise there is a wiki for that?

A wiki that is STILL very lacking. Even for ingame info: Most player classes are still missing.

AWESOME, thanks guys. This may just tide me over for a few days. I'll probably have the whole thing memorized by Friday (UK).

After seeing some pics of the CE manual I've ordered that as well, so not to worried about the size of the manual.

What do people want from their in-game manuals?

I thought this one was pretty good, describing a lot of the game-play features. Sure, there could have been a list of all spells, but I will get to see one when I open my game up. As a matter of fact, I can see one if I open up the Character Creator. What else should there have been? Hitchikers Guide to Ferelden? They do have that on the Wiki, and no manual I can remember has ever had more info than you can find on the Wiki when it comes to lore, even though I certainly think the Wiki could be even more fleshed out.

All in all, nice read, thanks a lot!

At least we now know that rogues get 1 skill point every 2 lvls, and wariors every 3 lvls.

To bad there wasnt any new info on the specializations, like skills and such.

Nice job manual-finding dude! Good call!

And, yeah, I got all melancholy thinking about the old BG manual. It was like a novel. :(

Take a look at the 5 precautions to take during use. They are pretty funny. Especially if you combine "preferably play on a small screen" and "sit as far away as your cord allows".

Great find. The manual did indeed resolve some speculations concerning stats, etc.

Like others, I was hoping for a beefier manual, but I guess Bioware prefers to tell their story in game rather than on paper... and they can't give too many technical details away, since that's what the strategy guide is for.

Nice. Mine unlocks on 6th (steam), very hard to wait now :( Also worried about steam messing up and not sending e-mails with DLC codes and stuff.

So this will help me to get my mind on different stuff - hopefully.

It's more cost. I used to love those thick manuals. Really good ones, I'd go back to again and again. Most users toss it aside or never read it. Why spend a lot of money getting something nice and thick put together?
