This is the type of thing I've been wanting to see for months now. Congrats... you've actually made me psyched for the game for the game after many doubts. Bravo.

That is a fanmade video some guy made after he pulled the vid files from his pre-loaded game. Obvious for multiple reasons:jedsithor wrote...
So uh...how do I talk about this without spoilers...hmm...I saw a different trailer on Youtube. It could very well be fan made but even if it is, it's awesome. I don't even want to link to it because it's awesome and if it's real, it could very well just be a cutscene from near the end of the game. How a person would get access to such a cutscene, I don't know and maybe it has been posted before...I know for damn sure that if I linked to it, real or not, it would get pretty much everyone pumped.
What can I say without giving the whole thing away...hmm...Battlestar Galactica. That's what it reminds me of and in a good way. The video in question is labelled as a "Hidden Trailer" but apart from a few character shots at the end, it's really just one scene with no sound apart from the music.
1. Channel owner's name is BiowareFan2012 and only has the one video
2. No ESRB or PEGI rating before hand (required for "official" trailers)
3. Music is horribly synched and is low quality
4. Dude has multiple accounts spamming the comments to "check out the hidden trailer"
It looked cool until I called the guy out on it. He set comments to "pending" and started spamming all over the place. I like to see cool footage like the rest, but I can't stand someone that takes things and tried to pass them off as official or his own.

Very cool trailer, on par with ME2's. I haven't read through the entire thread but, has it been revealed who that woman at 0:50 is? She's the only one I didn't recognize.
This!
And what's the name of the music for this trailer?!

Theories on that beam at the very end?
I'd tell you what it is but everyone will whine about spoilers.
On the other hand Two Steps from Hell "Protectors of Earth" was a nice choice of music to go in.
Your attempt at subtlety was an utter failure, unfortunately.
Though the architecture in the background of that clip practically screams "Earth!", so I didn't learn anything new.
My best guess is that you gather the giant allied fleet and attack Earth, so that the Normandy can make it through the Reaper fleet/blockade (and have time to find the Deus Ex Machina Device on Earth), find the Deus Ex Machina Device while the allied fleet buys you time in orbit, and then you make the big end-game decision...using the Deus Ex Machina Device.
Which, for some unfathomable reason, is on Earth. Because humans apparently special. Sigh.

I have a feeling it's Gillian Grayson.

Deception retconned? Unlikely...

Gillian is a biotic, no? It could be her, no doubt, but I think you would see biotics (not tech) if it was her.Cossack72 wrote...

You can't retcon something that didn't happen and isn't canon in the first place (because it didn't happen).

Anyway, I watched it earlier and found the trailer to be awesome. "Two Steps from Hell - Protectors of the Earth" playing in the background certainly helps the epicness factor.

I like it better than the ME2 launch trailer, which I love dearly
Y'know, I've been working on the Mass Effect franchise since the beginning. Since before we even knew what the logo was, since Shepard was running around in white and red armor. I've seen SOOO much of ME3 already, and yet I can watch this trailer over and over again!!
you guys should release that armor as a DLC just for the nastalgia aspect of it. thats the one we can buy on the marketplace for our xbox avatars right?

Probably just below ME2 launch trailer, but to me that is the best of the best launch trailers.
Edit: Also been hanging out for space battles of this scope for as long as I can remember. So many ships.

Those are the things that have kept me playing Mass Effect from the beginning. Not the explosions. Not the gear. Not the production values. The story. The characters that I fell in love with.
I hope there's a lot more of that going on in the actual game. Either way, good job on the trailer.

PS - From a purely business perspective, the review quotes at the beginning of the trailer were less than awe inspiring.

You actully made me re-think my Shepard's LE choice.. ( although you already did that with the new Ashley)...
Great stuff folks, I will be honored to have spent my hard earned money for your accomplished game. 5 Stars!
