So, yeah.  If these endings are true, I'm done.  I won't go into hysterics, I'm just going to get rid of Mass Effect items.  I see no reason why to keep them, after what, six years, of promoting a series, of loving every minute of it, only to be so angry it retroactively ruins the series to me (you other folks are fine liking it, that's your call), to the point that I feel Mac Walters and Casey Hudson have pseudo given me the finger.  "Hey, fan, you DON'T GET  a happy ending.  All the things you purchased, all the copies you sold working in retail part-time while you promoted us in your schooling to be a teacher?  Forget that.  We built you up, and now we want you to end upset."  Well, excuse me for saying all this (I am sure Mac and Casey are lovely in RL, merely saying that, as a fan, I feel INSULTED by the LEAKED ENDINGS (again, this is if they are true, I'm in wait-and-see mode)), but truth be told, I haven't been this annoyed with a fictional narrative since Devil's Due Publishing "killed off Snake-Eyes"... and Hasbro took back the rights of G.I. Joe for a reason, if you get my meaning.

Point is, those endings will ruin the series for me.  No exaggeration, that is how angry I will be.  Out of seven endings, not one is a happy ending?  That isn't artistic.  That isn't poetic, or meaningful, that is forcing a particular ending on a series where the promise has always been "You get to decide what happens," and, well, guess what?  I wanted to kill the bad guys and go home with my girl-friend.  I can accept losses, I can accept friends dying, but when I cannot do anything to save MOST of the characters I care about from a fate forced upon them, when all other indication throughout the series is"You can choose," well, I'm done.  I'm taking my ball, and I'm going the f*** home.

And if you didn't read this gargantuan post, let me some it up with this; I love(d) Mass Effect so much, I kept my receipts for the CE editions of 1 and 2 as mementos, hell, check my history and see the thread I started where I was looking to make my store's launch of ME3 awesome, out of my own pocket.  IF these endings are true, and IF there is no happy ending available within a few months after launch, then they are going in the trash, and Bioware can make their money off of someone else.  I'll be done.

Now this is a true Mass Effect fan. People like him, myself and everybody else who gave there hard earned money for the games are being screwed by Bioware (EA), what they are doing  is insulting and sick.

I would happily say that spending money is not an indicator of passion for a series, but of misaligned priorities, teehee! :wizard:

Either way, IF this endings are true, I will be done with the series.  If there is no silver lining, I see no point in continuing to support the Mass Effect IP if it's just going to anger or depress me.  I hope Bioware understands this; I'm not kicking or screaming, I'm giving the game a chance, I'm hopeful for an ending I enjoy, just merely that, at this moment, they run the risk of losing a loyal and valuable customer.

Doubtful. Though I'm warming up to the ending (it does have a pretty cool long-term aspect to it), I think the way they decided to go has killed most of my interest in the franchise after this.

I will be dissapointed if the leaked endings are the only endings available. It wont matter much that I bought ME1, ME2 (Had to pay extra as the Cerberus Network which was promised but it was not present in the box, some consider this corporate "ethics" and find excuses for that which is without excuse.) and now ME3 N7DD or whatever its called in the end.
As what is one dissapointed fan which played Bioware games from 1998 compared to the horde of ADHD stricken kids and of course the so desired "wave of new players"? Its all about demographics.
I assume the person who wrote this story is not the same person or part of the same group of people which made some of the promises which were present from ME1 itself ("Your choice will matter" is among one of the most popular ones).
In regards to the decision if I will or if I will not, its for the product itself to convince me. Some say the ending is artistic or bland or etc..., the problem for me is that I got promised a choice in the matter.

The MMO question I expect it to be a joke, for me there is one MMORPG worth waiting for and that is GW2. Bioware is changing, if its for the better or worse its not for me to decide, when quality is replaced with quantity and respect with exploitation of the gullible, this is a company I can do without.

To be honest, if the leaked endings are the only ones in the game and if there's no good ending for Shepard and the crew in the game that ties all the loose ends, then I can say that I don't feel like continuing to support this franchise. It all feel like a waste... This is what I get for playing through the whole trilogy? Madness! The only thing that can save it is a post game DLC which possibly won't happen. I will play this game once and then forget it all...

 Depends on

A. Bioware not doing another mmo because they know full well swtor wouldn't hold together if a fan base wasn't strong.

B. A post dlc because I am not buying side quest that resulted in the same depressing (though admittedly bold) endings .

C. Not making a promise to myself that this would be the last console game I play for a long while to do other things in life.
Take a good guess what my short response will be..... <_<

This reminds me a bit of Star Wars. If the ending to Mass Effect 3 is going to be this bad, than no. I will not be getting any more products that take place "before" the ending. That's how I am with the Clone Wars. No matter how goos the series might be, it will always lead to death by broken heart, which I detest severely.

I'm very disappointed with this nose dive approach to ME3.

From a literary prespective that is definitly not the correct term, at all.

And honestly, why even bother buying the game if you just jump right into calling it a "nosedive approach." The logic would make Spock **** his pants in frustration.

No.  After this garbage, I'm done with BioWare. I really wish they had gone under before making something this awful...
Especially after DA2 and TOR (three horrible games in a row, good job!)
With any luck the rest of the BioWare fans will realize BioWare is done making enjoyable games.
They obviously don't care about us anymore.

The comics are notoriously terrible, why they keep being made is beyond me. So no, I won't be picking them up. As for getting anything ME related, I'm not getting anything bioware related after ME3.
